Sloppy in possession, no pace, simply not good enough as a LB. Although LB is his not his favoured position, we definitely need to sign a LB in the Summer as cover for Mendy.

Mendy was Dispossessed 3 times in 10 minutes, zero for Zinchenko.


I know the whole team were bad including Zinchenko, but Mendy wasn't better.

If you keep going backwards and sideways it’s quite easy to not get dispossessed. Not that he didn’t give the ball away as Cancelo saved us when Zinchenko played a shocking pass to almost but Martial clear through. Embarrassing that the manager started someone that slow at fullback against a counter attacking team.

its hard to be touh on him playing so way out of position. The lad aint a fullback.....yet he still is as good as Mendy -this shoudl tell you a lot about the lack of quality we have had there for far too long.

I'm going full clench mode for 90 minutes against Real Madrid if he starts. Hopefully Cancelo plays LB. If Zidane is smart he'll put Vinicius on the right against Zinchenko in the second tie
