Then it would help if you read my actual post rather than misquote me:It's not even meant to be. The guy's literally given blood, sweat and tears for us and could be getting paid more and playing more at another club after declining at least two moves to Betis and Wolves.
Just look at his reaction and words after the Villa game.
If people want to say that playing for a professional club is a strictly transactional thing and that no players can form a genuine emotional bond with a club then I'd tell them they're being overly cynical.
Sure, it's rare but that's what makes it so special.
I also feel that many players in this sport don’t deserve the fans they have as they see their career as being purely transactional. Very very few professionals care as much about the team as the average fan does.
Zinchenko appears to be one of those but if he decides to leave then it won’t weaken us, in my opinion.
I do literally state that I don’t think it is just transactional for Zinchenko, but he’s not a left back and we need a new one anyway to be back at a full complement of four. Whether he then leaves will be as up to him as it is up to Pep.
