dont underestimate how important it is to rotate the squad and to bring in new faces, need to keep it fresh and have new players that are hungry for titles. to do that you need to be a bit ruthless and move on targeted players. we still have some aging players that will go in the next 2-3 years and similar big calls will be made on them. Will miss seeing his missus in a city top though.

Regardless of if and where you think they'd fit into our best 11, we've lost three real fighters in Zinchenko, Sterling and Jesus this summer. Zinchenko and Sterling being introduced won us the league against Villa. Those players had real fight and real character and will be missed.
All true but you could argue that we crawled over the line with the same players mentioned. League should have been wrapped up earlier. Next chapter awaits…

You can’t really turn down 20 times the transfer fee you paid for a player who doesn’t make your best starting XI, no matter how likeable and useful a squad player he is
You can when the player is easily worth 30 times what we paid for him, his replacement will cost more and also doesn't make our best 11.

As I said previously, I’m very sorry to see him go but if it means we get a proper left back I think this is good business by the Club.

We actually need two left backs but I’m guessing that
we‘ll go with the specialist, whoever that is and use Ake and Laporte as cover.
I thought we already had a proper left back called Cancello?

Just look over the road for a club that got complacent.

Top clubs have to be ruthless, no passengers, no drop off, only strive to improve every season.

And the scary thing with this club and team is we can do both despite 10 years of regular titles.

Little Kev is no more.
He is now big bro to ' the Croydon De Bruyne'
Life moves on. Hope he shines on and shows the Prem his full potential.
Will be hard to see him and Jesus playing for themlot along with Arteta as manager. Now a City Lite club. Oh the irony!
