This can’t be true.

Our resident expert Dax told us all he has world class potential at LB. Why would we sell him for such a low fee??

Nothing against the lad, but not good enough for this team and this squad.

Struggled at times last season.

Played out of position to fill in.

Would never get a game this coming season.

Good bit of money for FFP.

Wolves maybe his level?

All the best.

PS. Got a PL medal.

Seeing your so in to our academy I’m surprised you didn’t know the lad never played for our academy.
I have actually replied about my mistake. Again I've been away 12 years so don't take as much notice of goings on around the club apart from watching each game at stupid o'clock. I did manage to attend Newcastle at home in January though if that puts me back on superfan status.

Been away you say how did you watch games at funny hours during lock down?
tempted to call bullshit on that one.

Another good fee for a player who hasn't played that many games. Fair play to Txixi as he's done well negotiating sales in recent years. Iheanacho, unal, bony, rodwell, mooy, jovetic all commanded decent fees. I'll forgive him the £11m for Dzeko.

Away in Australia I assume from his location and with the time difference, most games are going to be during the night over there.

A bit harsh on Wolves tbh, I thought they played good football last season, and clearly have an outstanding manager. They held us for 2 hours at our place, and from what I recall they played mostly reserves, it wasn’t just us
Horrible might have been harsh I guess but surely you see my point about the style of football they play not suiting a player like him(kind of like Shaqiri at Stoke for years seems a waste of talent for the football they play)... were they attacking, free flowing and moving the ball around or were they defensive, organised and resilient? I understand why they played that way, they wanted the upset by any means necessary and fair play to them but the football played between them and Bristol was night and day for me, despite them not having a successful season they play much better football. The question is which is more important to a player still learning given his age? A higher finish or in a team playing the right way for his game?

I've nothing against Wolves but as I said I wouldn't blame him if he didn't fancy it, the wrong move can stall a player and when it's nothing to do with money you can't really hold it against the player. This is his career, his development as a player we are talking about who may well want to reach the top ranks some day... If Jamie Vardy and Rickie Lambert can achieve what they did from their beginnings who knows how far this already talented lad can go with the right attitude?

If this is a done deal, good luck to the lad I say, I just didn't like the idea of pushing him out the door like some seemed to be leaning towards just because the money's not shit for a change.

good post that and totally agree. seems a top lad and the squad like him but takes up a space and more importantly makes us a solid amount of money on the initial investment.

Wolves fan here. I think you've a very distorted view on our team from watching one game, which was essentially our reserves. Nuno played a very defensive shape and we looked to get you on the break, as going toe to toe to City (even your third team) was never going to end well. And to be fair we had three one on ones and should have won, despite your total domination of possession. Y

But if you'd seen our Championship campaign, with our starting lineup, you would have seen a much different team. Defensively sound yes, as the boss builds his teams from the back, but we played some breathtakingly quick and intricate offensive football that many neutrals put up there as some of the best the second tier has ever seen. Division's top scorers too.

With the players we've got, and looking to sign, we're coming up to compete in the top half (we hope!), not play anti-football to get 17th place minimum. In this respect I think you're completely wrong in your assessment and Zinchenko will find a team and style of play that will be perfect for him.

To be fair though I'm sure I'll pay little attention to the Championship this season so completely understand why you've judged us the way you have.

Anyway, not that you'll ever need it, but good luck the season chaps. There's a hell of a lot of respect for City at Wolves. A lot of parallels between our two clubs, or "proper" clubs, as is our obligatory title!

Well said. I've been a City fan all my life and always had respect for Wolves. I'm looking forward to watching you next season and I think you have bought a very good player who could do great things for you in a more attacking central area. All the best.

I know you play good football. I hope you do well. Don't assume that one or two negative comments about Wolves reflects City opinion. It's just individual opinion. From what I remember, there has been quite a lot of recognition of what a good season Wolves had and it was noted several times that it was sides like Bristol City and Wolves that played the best football from visiting sides at City, whilst Premier League clubs just came and parked the bus

A few notes of caution which I think you have already considered:

Player turnover can be difficult to handle
Most promoted sides in the Premier League survive through sheer work rate and defensive organisation. If you set up to play football, you may take some hefty beatings.

Great post. Totally agree you should've won at our place given those one on ones. I do follow football down the leagues and have seen Wolves quite a lot (on T.V.) last season. Zinchenko could be a star in your team. I'd be surprised if Wolves are involved in the relegation fight.

I want to see 6 points for you from Cardiff City and your manager showing up Colin Wanker for the classless **** he is again please!

I guess we're yet to see the player turnover factor but with our added factor of Mendes' close involvement then I'm doubly sure we won't be immune.

We're all very much aware that Neves will likely only give us another season before getting a deserved move to a super-club but he'll go with our eternal gratitude and blessing. However the way our owners talk (second only to your good selves in the English owners rich list) we won't be a selling club a la Southampton (aka Liverpool Nursery FC) and they talk of Champions League and beyond. The proof of that pudding will become evident this season but so far they've been dream owners and brought the sound planning of their wider business to Wolves.

Regarding your second point we have an incredibly hard working, fit young team, and with our 3-4-3 formation under any pressure the forwards fall back to make a high pressing 5-4-1 making it very difficult for the opposition to find any room in the final third. But once the move breaks down we counter with speed and intelligence and it can quickly become a 3-2-5.

If we add three or four real quality signings I don't see anyone to particularly fear outside of the top 6.

It's exciting times to be a Wolves fan after the decades of dross (sound familiar?) and we'd be very happy to welcome Zinchenko to the Wolves family. Think he'll be a superb asset for us over the next few years.

Here's to foreign multi-billionaire owners - cheers!

Just read your post. I for one was hugely impressed by your team at the etihad at carabao cup game. I think you will finish top ten definitely. Always like you guys. Saw you play in the Derek dougan led survival in 80s . You had fantastic following even then at the bottom tier. Proper club , great fans and a iconic kit. # good luck. Enjoy the ride.

I hope wolves get relegated again back to the championship, I cant do with em, cos they got a 0-0 draw at our place, they should of beat us blah blah blah. I don't forget reading there forum and them mentioning the "emptyhad" and how they should get more tickets etc. Great fans of other teams should never get involved in what the rags have to say about us, they should form there own opinion, that's it rant over.
