Olympiacos (A) - CL | Post-Match Thread

Another 11 men low block merely to keep the score down. Olympiakos despite being injury and Covid players missing were dogshit. 2 touched in our box with no comittment to attack - at all!
The fact these games are a bit dull isnt always our fault.
Grabbing an opponent from behind and whirling him around in the box is a penalty, that happens to Sala or Martial and its a nailed on spot kick - where the fuck was VAR? Even Keown the **** thought it was a foul "wasn't it?"
However thats 42 attempts and 17 on target in 2 games for 1 goal which is piss poor.

Not allowing the opposition to have an easy chance, is that not learning from the Spurs game?

What we actually learned from this game is that our goal chances are snatched, not controlled. We can learn from that.
 
Really good performance tonight, Controlled the game really well, Never gave Olympiakos a kick of the ball. Would of liked a few more goals to boost confidence on front of goal.
Really want to see Foden starting more regular now he deserves to be in the side he's fabulous to watch.
 
We need to turn the oppositions defense so they are facing there own goal. The goal we scored was a ball back from the by-line that Phil scored from.

This inverted winger stuff is great if you have a fullback who can get in front of the op/defense get to the by-line and cut it back inside. Mendy`s crosses are mostly shit and when Walker get up field we leave ourselves open to the counter attack.

Tonight for me was another shit show against a team that constantly lost possession and gave us the ball back.

Zinchenko needs to go, nice lad but he does nothing of merit in games.
