Omar Berrada to the rags | TLDR: They want to be us

Here’s a conspiracy theory for you. rags tapped up Berada ages ago depending on us being cleared because he’d be up to his eyes in any shenanigans . They know it’s all going to be dropped so they finalise it now.

We will have all the rags talking this move up. Even though, if you mentioned his name to them last week they wouldn't have a fucking clue who you're on about.

This is how small time they are now that they have to actively recruit City employees. The whole world has an issue with City’s business model now the rags have someone who was a big cog in implementing it at the top of their organisation, it’s an endorsement that City are now the shining example of how to build a football club to dominate.

O

A non executive director would still be registered at Companies House as a director. Used to do registet all that stuff for my part of my job. I agree he'd probably be on some executive committees and maybe invited to sit un on odd board subject but not attend as of right.
Getting it off my chest how fantastic is the reporting of this as a coup. If City pinched a United exec it would be why nation states are ruining our great football institutions and goes to the very heart of what is wrong with the game ( I e united aren't top of the table that's all).

It's all ignorant noise, isn't it? It's a good move for Berrada if he wasn't getting the top job at City. It's a good move for United and it may be a sign the Ratcliffe actually understands some things. We will see.

But this sort of thing happens to succesful organisations. Nothing to fear but a little more competition, in five years maybe.

Perhaps Khaldoon should hire people who actually support the club/are a fan of City & doesn`t see it as a business. Pretty clear that Berrada never really liked City & only disliked United at some point. His move says a lot about his character (no backbone, honour, loyality, integrity). After over 10 years at City you go to the arch-rival. Disgusting.

There is a clip out there where it shows Omar working hand in hand with Txiki, with In depth analysis of potential signings. The rags will be buying less crap like they have in the post AF years. I hate the rags so this is a nightmare scenario. He will take a wealth of knowledge.

Whilst I accept your point, it’s not just one guy is it? When you think of our owner Sheikh Mansour, his right hand man Khaldoun, Txiki, Ferran and an army of people under that it’s a management structure. United might try to play Jenga with it. But in isolation it’s damaging but not terminal.

The irony is that it looks like Berrada got a better offer out of United. So can money buy success and class? There’ll be some pivoting going on with Rag fans.
