Omar Berrada to the rags | TLDR: They want to be us

maybe, he has been recruited purely for commercial reasons, no doubt his contacts with current and potential sponsors would attract the goblins/ineos baron. Pretty sure what happens on the pitch will not be changing any time soon. Off the pitch, who knows they already have a much bigger turn-over than clubs above them...you wouldn't know it looking at the state of the stadium and the scandal of the catering/corporate mismanagement. A great big MEH over this backroom musical chairs from me

Sorry to be pedantic, but a Board is made up of a mix of Executive and Non-Executive Directors.

Whether Omar was on the Board is another topic, but I'd be surprised if Ferran isn't given that he's the CEO. I'm not sure who our CFO is (or equivalent), but they'd probably be on the Board as well.

Pretty sure the Board at City is made up of non-executives. It doesn't have to be, but it is. It acts as a supervisory board over the executive management.

We will have all the rags talking this move up. Even though, if you mentioned his name to them last week they wouldn't have a fucking clue who you're on about.

We copied the Barca model and we always wanted the Barca execs, it was only going to be a matter of time before they rocked up.

One positive about Omar leaving is that it probably shows all our execs are going to me here for a lot longer and he , Omar was not going to get the top job.

And if the execs are in for the long haul, I am sure Pep is.
We didn't so much copy the Barça model. We acquired their triumvirate of Soriano, Txiki & Guardiola, took the best they brought to Barça, massively improved it & then let Soriano loose to take City to levels never before seen in world sport, never mind football.

The Barça v City blueprints today are as different as night & day. Barça did it their way & ended up in £1.2bn of debt. We did it our improved way & are the debt free treble winners & World Champions.

City are in a different league to any other sports franchise in the history of sport. It's Barça & others who're desperate to copy City's model, hence the constant approaches for our staff, & Berrada leaving to become CEO of Old Toilet.

Our three Amigos, Khaldoon & HRH Sheikh Mansour are the key to this. The crack interchangeable team they've assembled around them are the bricks everyone can see, but the aforementioned are the solid foundations upon which we're built.

A non executive director would still be registered at Companies House as a director. Used to do registet all that stuff for my part of my job. I agree he'd probably be on some executive committees and maybe invited to sit un on odd board subject but not attend as of right.
Getting it off my chest how fantastic is the reporting of this as a coup. If City pinched a United exec it would be why nation states are ruining our great football institutions and goes to the very heart of what is wrong with the game ( I e united aren't top of the table that's all).

There is a clip out there where it shows Omar working hand in hand with Txiki, with In depth analysis of potential signings. The rags will be buying less crap like they have in the post AF years. I hate the rags so this is a nightmare scenario. He will take with him a wealth of knowledge.
