Omar Berrada to the rags | TLDR: They want to be us

Ive made no secret my pal has a decent job at City. Saw him earlier and he was with a work colleague, i asked what the feeling was about Berrada going united and they both shrugged their shoulders. Both said he will be missed but isnt in the slightest irreplaceable. They were amused by the media hysteria making out he was running the show at City, commenting that hes a very very junior partner to the real big fish.

They said where as they dont blame him for leaving as its a big step up, in career and pay but that itll be interesting to see how he gets on as at City hes in more of a sporting role, working with his pals from barca where as at united its more a business role and working for scruffy jim AND the glazers.

By sounds of it, the media/united are much more excited by this than City are to be losing him (not a lot)

They clearly feel that this is the first step to regaining the spot they once occupied - the arrogant, sneering, self-important club might just return.

I saw one media outlet describe it as united biggest signing in 10 years.

The feeling at City by the two guys i spoke to today was one of “meh” that hes gone

That's probably because our club is run very well

I doubt someone who was a right hand man leaving is going to bring the whole thing crashing down. There's probably a few very integral people in the club where it would make an impact if they left, and I doubt this fella was one of them.

It's never gone away :-

The best youngsters in the world, always breaking through. Currently Mainoo (?).

"The United Way" as a phrase to mean what exactly ?

The famous names they have signed (i.e. has-beens who have been released by big clubs, such as Casameiro) who have always been desperate to sign for their beloved Red Devils.

Their nickname, the Red Devils, they robbed off Salford RLFC .

The continuous amount of arrogant ex-players in the media (Wio, Scholesy etc.) who cannot understand that their over their last 11 years of mediocrity that this "shouldn't happen to Manchester United (full title)" ?
