True. As others have posted, United are years behind us on and off the pitch. It will take Jim, Omar & Co years to catch City up, let alone take City over.

No, Omar has up to date information on City and the CFG. How the CFG was rolled out. How City and the CFG are managed. As well as lots of other information the Rags will be interested in. He has a treasure trove of information if Jim wants to extract it from Omar. And Omar obliges? Omar was on the City board. And he was probably privy to alsmot everything discussed at board level.

In business most people know what you’ve done and can try to replicate it (usually unsuccessfully because it’s already been done).

The real power lies in the people that know what to do next. History suggests the visionaries are Soriano, Txiki and Pep.

I'm not so much worried about losing him that I think he knows something is coming down the pipeline and is jumping ship now.

If he is implicated in anything it wouldn't matter where he went he would still be dragged into it - this is probably Gentleman Jim flexing some financial muscle and offering big bucks for the move
