Clearly he's in the know about long term plans and they might have to be adjusted..

We might have to get some deals over the line this winter instead of taking a chance next summer.

City pay well in salaries. What they do not do though is throw money around . Every position has a ceiling, just like the players we walk away. Or let them go .
There is 5 main guys from Pep upwards to Mansour. Everyone else is just part of the efficient machine.
