Why? I can see no sense or reason.

He has earned them so much money by consistently qualifying for the Champions League on a relatively tight budget over the last 15 years, all the while enabling them to pay off their new stadium. He's done a remarkable job. I'm not sure there are many others who could have pulled off the same feat, let alone win the league three times and the Cup four times.

He does more than just manage the team, he helps with the economics of the football club and the move from Highbury to The Emirates could not have happened as relatively smoothy as it has without a manager like Wenger. His developement of young players is great and he's bought many players that have been sold later for a massive profit which is obviously great for the board. Finally he's managed to keep the club in the Champions League, where all the money is. He's certainly not perfect but he's done a great job.

Yeah people forget that Arsenal's board must love Wenger. Its just shit for the fans having nothing to celebrate. From a financial standpoint, he's doing an incredible job.

Won nothing since the move mate. He won stuff when he was spending larger amounts. So it's disingenuous to say he has won stuff on a "tight" budget. He hasn't.

Fair enough, but he's consistently qualified them for the Champions League while they've been paying the stadium off, and that's the thing I think he deserves most credit for. He's perhaps overstayed his welcome now, but it's remarkable that they've been able to build a new stadium and pay for it, all whilst not suffering the ignominy of dropping out of the Champions League. Well worth his wages.

Sorry mate I do agree with what you are saying. He is a dream manager for the board. I just wanted to show he hasn't won anything since he stopped spending huge.

I'd be fucked off if I was an Arsenal fan. Wenger is complient in them not being a force and is bought off with a gugh wage.

Yeah. Now they've got through that period of enforced austerity, they should be looking to bring someone in who'll spend some money to challenge for the title. God knows, they've got enough of the stuff to do it. Not sure their fans would fancy doing something as immoral as that though!
