Did you ever get an answer on this? I get it everytime I purchase a ticket now. Very very frustrating. City blamed my device/cookies/cache etc, but regardless of which device I have tried, and multiple cards, it still happens. Tends to work eventually after around 25+ attempts.I am told they have engaged a third party company that sits between the city ticket office payments and the banks

Exactly the same situation I'm in, tried multiple cards, devices, browsers etc. Eventually got through to the ticket off today and they're talking about being added to a 'safe payments' list, which takes time with their tech team...The pm I sent is more or less further up the thread re the third party between city & the banks
Several acc several cards plus PayPal Apple Pay etc 4 devices
And the cheeky bastards claimed it was my issue and my bank or device !!!
