2 problems I have with Savic are:

1. He's not a prime physical specimen in the build of a commanding centre back.

But

2. He's not really that comfortable on the ball, distribution is usually a sideways pass or gives it away if he tries anything too much forward.

So I'm still not really sure what he is going to be? As I said, a lot of development needed, there were other more promising and commanding CBs I feel we could have gone for in the summer if we were looking for a youngster to bring through, especially at £7m-£8m or whatever we paid.

I'd rather play Rekic, Mancini signed a dud in Savic, Stuborn old Italian ailienates half our squad, cocts us dear in the long run!

Savic is not good enough at present his mistake cost us tonight he looked like a rabbit caught in the headlights do him a favour and leave him out Bobby, play Richards with Zaba at right back please !

And lose one of our best attacking outlets. When is he going to learn? For fucks sake he has made one mistake tonight, which unfortunatly cost us. why not have a go at the more experianced players? Barry? NDJ ? Johnson? lets not forget they have much more prem experiance than Savic and were bloody awful tonight. We needed a leader tonight Barry should of taken the game and ran like he has done in the past but in my opinion he didn't take any responsibility as a senior player which is disappointing. more so than a inexperienced defender slightly fouled a player who's teams intention was to get a draw for a penalty.

Savic, Lescott, Kolo, Onohua, Richards, Boyata would all be fine playing alongside Kompany, but none of them are direct replacements.They're all "6's" not "5's". None of them are suited to playing the dominant centre half role.

I felt sorry for Savic tonight, I didnt think Joleon took responsibility the way that a senior player should have. Lescott coasted through the game leaving his junior partner to mark Carroll and do the donkey work.
Lescott's the senior player, he's physically bigger than Savic, why didnt he take on Vinny's role??

Bang on mate. I really felt for Savic cos Lescott wasn't watching his back as a senior CB should with a Junior at his side.

Everyone is smashing Savic when I thought, apart from the penalty and the first Carroll run, he was decent.

Everyone wants Savic to be an instant replacement for Kompany. Not GONNA HAPPEN IN THE 1st GAME FOLKS! Ease up. Somebody on here said we still looked as if we had the Utd game legs and were not up for it the moment from kick off and that is true.

I really belive Savic needs to stay on for the Wigan game (and then assess is performance after that) and our blues need R&R and a confidence boost with Silva back. Our blues will really want to for the Wigan win guaranteed.
