In that case, stop paying agents £60mill, get the players on the pitch on time and stop wasting £2mill in fines, and stop wasting over £100mill on players who won't ever play for City again, or are sat on the bench. That aside, there are costs to be saved all over the club. 10-15 stewards from 2 security firms are employed at the entrances to blocks 116 and 115 to check season tickets on mobile phones. The vast majority of them just stand around talking, laughing, and joking with each other, whilst the odd one checks the season tickets on fans mobile phones. The club is awash with money, but there is little or no accountability to where that money goes, or where it is wasted.

Agreed, the whole system is out of control. It was doomed from the start really if you think about it - when the PL was established established in the early 90s and the TV rights were sold for such vast amounts, and therefore the clubs received massive TV payments in return, it was inevitable it would grow into the monster it is now.

Now like you say you’ve got clubs spending stupid amounts of money on average players, and stupid amounts to agents who are just glorified middle men. All the while fans’ disposable income has only marginally increased with inflation, or in a lot of cases reduced in real terms. Yet we are asked to pay more every year to fund this monster of a system.

Anyway, it’s too big and too far gone to change now. I guess fans just have to decide whether they’re prepared to continue to be exploited, or not? As many have said, it’s an awful decision to have to make.

I think there should a be a thread poll about acceptable seasoncard prices increases:

-10% + freeze for 3 years (groundbreaking club level)

-5% + 5 year freeze (decent steps)

-2% (a slight nod)

0% change (bare minimum)

+5% (cruel, cruel summer)

+7% (are we Man Utd?!)

+10% (off to watch Maine Rd F.C.)

True in the main. There are targeted things City can do like having cheaper tickets in the safe standing area of the expanded North Stand and cutting the annual fees for flexi-gold season cards.

I know a big deal has been made about the 6 or 7 badge endorsement for the letter and I can see why that was wanted or needed. Credit to the contributors. That said, the reality is the main group that has worked for more affordable tickets over many years - Man City Face Value Tickets and Travel (Facebook) aren’t on there. There’s also loads of great Blues who help through this Forum’s Ticket & Travel page.

The system only became out of control, when the clubs who it was set up to help,stopped winning the trophies,that they saw as a entitlement.

Well said that man. I think alot of us "legacy"fans are gradually becoming delusioned with the way the club is treating us.

I think there will be a considerable downturn in people going on the CL scheme, the extra games fuck all chance of getting a final ticket, night match and the half and half brigade it’s just soulless shite. I’ll watch at home or possibly in the pub.

Suggestion for you
Make a fake city account up.
If ever you can't make it last minute, transfer your seat to the fake account.

Think that would be a work around although maybe I've not got the rules correct.

They shouldn't be auto generated, check the persons match going history first.
I have over 33000 points, attend home and away to all matches,I missed the home match against Fulham due to a hospital diagnosis and got sent a email as I had failed to transfer it on.
It's not rocket science to build into your systems,different scenarios.

I’m sure they are auto generated but I’ve tried calling the club on more than one occasion and they never pick up the phone. Either way, I’m done. It’s not like they actually care. I’ll be grateful to be done going to city, never thought I’d say that.
