Open Letter on Season Tickets and Pricing | Club announce price freeze on "general admission season tickets & PL match tickets" for next season (p163)

Yep - lot's of unfamiliar faces at CL group games around me. But on the flip side, when I look at ticket availability for CL group games after they've gone on sale there never seems to be much more than 20,000 or so available at the start of the sales process so 20,700 is probably about right. I'm sure plenty joined off the back of the CL Final win in Istanbul too in order to give them a better chance of getting one for a future final.
I think with the final being in Munich this year might have persuaded some to join the scheme, I've been in the scheme for the last few years but was going to sack it off this year because of additional amount of games but kept it for that reason

I’m hearing this a lot. The rub is that if the club DO freeze seasoncard prices then I wouldn’t be surprised if they try to make some more money on CL tickets, with it being more of a tourist thing, and that will only accelerate the number of regulars leaving the scheme, making for a worse atmosphere. It was pretty crap this year.

They need to actually be reducing prices in the CL now to stop this slow drain of regulars but I doubt it will happen.

I think there could be a substantial drop off in the number on the UEFA Cup Scheme next season.

The euphoria of winning it and the prospect of defending it at Wembley, I imagine promoted a bit of a rush on sign ups.

Now the prospect of getting to a final is looking more unlikely. With playing in the Europa or even Conference a possibility, I’m doubting there will be quite the same enthusiasm.

They may well have looked at the ridiculously high prices for CL tickets that Villa decided to have and consider it a successful move.
That of course wouldn’t take into account that it’s Villa’s first ever season in the competition (from memory they haven’t been in the Europa recently either). A lot of their legacy fans won’t be so keen if they have a decade or more of those prices.

We still haven't had a date for the extraordinary meeting on season tickets.

As such, I (along we some of my other City Matters colleagues) will not be taking part in any meetings with the Club until this is resolved. I will however, still be happy to receive emails and will try to deal with any concerns that fans share with me.

Well done City Matters.

For too long the club, and chiefly the Directors, have been taking the piss out of the fans and getting away with it just because they know they can.

They have treated the City Matters Reps and the fans with disrespect and contempt, riding rough shot over decisions and procedures they created.

It's now coming to a head, with City Matters Reps striking, and City fans on the verge of protesting about the way the club is treating the fans.

Newcastle have increased their st price the reason psr owners love it fans kicking off wait till going to Wembley every 5 minutes

The blame lies with Khaldoon, Soriano, Danny Wilson, and the other Directors. I'm not arsed about naming them all. They have all been complicit in the relationship breakdown between the club and the fans.

Ultimately the buck stops with Khaldoon. He has the authority and power to let this club v City fans shit show continue, or to tell the directors to end it once and for all.

Geordie fans are saving it isn’t down to PSR and more to do with their club failing to agree lucrative sponsorships for things like training kits. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle.

He's King bullshitter and sadly too many lap what he says up.

I've already said to the group that I don't believe the club is meeting the
PL Fan Engagement Standard - Fan Engagement Standard

Tthey should withdraw their cooperation and submit a formal complaint.

I believe Danny Wilson acts in good faith but he has to refer everything upstairs to De Vries and Soriano, who are completely opposed to meaningful fan engagement.

Deflection tactics from the club, pick on the easy targets.
Have they done any checking on the seats they give to the agencies, because I can assure you there were plenty of madrid supporters sat in blocks 303 and 304 in seats that are allocated to the clubs official partners.
