Open Letter on Season Tickets and Pricing | Club announce price freeze on "general admission season tickets & PL match tickets" for next season (p163)

However you have to agree that the largest GROUP of supporters is, whether fortunately or unfortunately, the OSC and they have been around a lot longer than our other groups so it would be good to know if they were asked, if they refused to sign or maybe they weren't asked. Sorry :-)
That's fair enough! The OSC were asked over a week ago along with every other group on that list but didn't sign it.

However they've reposted it on Twitter which indicates they support it, which is great.

I don't have an issue I have asked how did the fan groups canvass fans opinions on the content of the letter sent to the chairman signed in their name? , for example the number one issue on this site regards tickets is not season tickets but the inexplicable number of tickets that appear on the re selling sites with no purchase history needed while blues who go through the club miss out as they don't meet some fictitious criteria yet this isn't mentioned in the letter. So what data do these groups have that confirms season ticket issues are the number 1 most pressing issue on supporters minds to the extent a joint letter is needed to the chairman?

The letter does mention ‘other issues’ but I agree, tickets on 3rd party sites is a major issue.

I made plans to do PSG away, but wasn’t sure how I’d get a ticket. I was watching a couple of 3rd party sites and within MINUTES of tickets going on sale at City, new listings were added to 3rd party sites. In my opinion, this is seasonal hospitality and/or high point CL scheme members buying a ticket solely for the purpose of reselling it for a profit - DISGUSTING !

I am not interested in what you think you can see, I would think most people want to know officially, we're they asked or not.
If they weren't this letter is meaningless if they were and do not agree with the letter ,what is their rational for not being a signatory.
They were definitely asked.

They wouldn't sign it, but they posted it.

Erm....

So why wouldn't they sign it, if they eventually posted it?

A question for the OSC that mate, can't speak on their behalf.

Thank you, that was all I wanted to know. I can now ask my own OSC branch at the next branch meeting why they didn't and have the question asked at their monthly or whatever they are these days meeting.
Thank you. :-)

Got your own fucking mind haven’t you! Surely you can see so many off the hardcore fan base has been getting priced out for years!

Could argue the process's around selling individual match tickets impact those more than season ticket criteria does, just looking to understand how season tickets became the number one topic of those supporters clubs to the extent a letter was needed to the chairman in all their member names , wonder how many of those who signed off the letter are season ticket holders??

Football is a business, just like any other. How do you measure loyalty, those who never miss a match, those who say they have been going since Adam was a lad. It is all down to supply and demand. The more the so called tourists they can attract the more goes in to the Club’s coffers. The Club know for all the moaning the Season Ticket holders do, there are probably ten fans willing to replace them. So no matter how much the fans say loyalty should count as far as the Club is concerned it doesn’t.

Bullshit. Oh, and it's not just season ticket holders doing the "moaning".

I couldn't agree or disagree without seeing the results of the opinions gathered from a representative group of fans.

I could be wrong here but they’re not claiming to represent all City fans.

They are representing 7 separate fan groups of which their members have elected them to speak on their behalf.

To that end, I’d say it’s highly unlikely to the point of inconceivable that they aren’t representing the feelings of the majority of their members in this letter.

If you want to canvass an entire fanbase then you’d need the club to do it using their database…

But it's not a business like any other. If I don't the cost of a train ticket I can take a different mode of transport. You wouldn't shrug your shoulders if they upped and moved the club abroad because it was more profitable for example.

Football clubs have a responsibility to the communities they claim to represent and if its getting to the stage that fans are beginning to find themselves priced out of attending, I don't think it's beyond the pale to point this out to the club.

Spot on

This is slightly off to
I see the OSC didn’t want anything to do with it. They don’t want to rock the boat when they should be the main voice in my opinion
Whilst not 100% agreeing with you that they should be the main voice I do agree that they should be doing something and I have sent a message to my branch secretary asking him to ask the question at the next OSC main meeting.
