Not easy now is it. My council tax bill dropped today and water last week. Up about £35 a month between them.Everybody could do with a break financially. Interesting that the lower priced seats at the swamp are level 1 behind the goals rather than at the back.In that time we’ve had 10 price rises, my ticket went from half the price of the equivalent at the Swamp to more expensive.
This was for this season (they’ve just announced a 5% increase today):

My seat at City is £930, my equivalent seat the the Swamp is £874. 12 years ago I think my seat was £500
The lack of leg room made it very difficult for anybody above a small adult to sit in those seats. It might have changed in recent years?Interesting that the lower priced seats at the swamp are level 1 behind the goals rather than at the back.
I can remember the sight lines aren't great down there and they're still more expensive than my mid SS3 SC.
I can imagine that actually. Probably given them an idea they haven’t thought about.Fans who sell their ticket back to the club less than 14 days before a game will be charged £10

Leeds already have that and the equivalent of match day memberships are between £50 and £75.I'm sure Utd can only transfer to paid members now too. That's definitely something City will be doing soon. Really force your hand into selling it back to them.

What City will do will be influenced by how much money is involved. If they have sense they will reduce the guaranteed ticket exchange refund games (unless tickets sell out).
Correct, and it must be said that a ticketing plan that is solely reliant on what happens on the pitch is abysmal. Anyone can ride the crest of a wave while we're hoovering up titles, but good executives would establish a sustainable 'business' regardless of on-field performance. In addition to their ethics, I believe certain individuals' competency should be brought into question. They don't really benefit from ticket transfer so I'd be amazed if this isn't introduced soon. Any way to get some extra income will be jumped on.
I do agree that they will probably be looking at reducing the number of guaranteed refunds too. They got giddy and thought we'd always be winning the league or at the very least challenging for it.
This is inevitable for us too I think. Maybe not this year but it will come. The dirty rags have increased the price of pensioners’ ticket too.
If it happens it needs to fund more affordable junior tickets. This is inevitable for us too I think. Maybe not this year but it will come.
In an ideal world yes. In a football world of greed that won’t be the reason! If it happens it needs to fund more affordable junior tickets.
That's always been Soriano's approach, that we should pay increasingly higher prices while we're successful. I always argued at City Matters that we needed a more strategic approach to pricing but of course the club didn't listen. Chickens are going to come home to roost soon.Correct, and it must be said that a ticketing plan that is solely reliant on what happens on the pitch is abysmal.
