I think you are underestimating Soriano's responsibilities, tbh. The Board will approve budgets prepared by Soriano and his team, which includes targets for matchday revenues, of course. The question is whether the Board go into as much detail as individual ticket prices. I doubt it.

Just as I doubt the Board have any feel for clubs/ fan relations other than the carefully manipulated market research prepared by Soriano and his team.

And no number of open letters to the Chairman will change that. Khaldoon and Mansour are busy people, I doubt they are even aware of them. As for giving letters to Soriano and his team to be passed onto Khaldoon, they won't get past Soriano's secretary. I know it's a first step but it's all much too "nice". Fans need to get a little "nasty" if they want Mansour and Khaldoon to find out what is going on. Or they need someone with a direct line to them. Any takers? :)

It’s more likely to stop them being passed on to genuine rag mates so the club can tout them on.

There is a clear plan to reduce if not eradicate traditional season tickets. Price increases are too high profile so I expect the club to get more draconian with bans for misdemeanours and also tightening the conditions around attendance. Maybe make it mandatory to attend every home game including cups.

That’s before the season starts giving access to the season card for the year. I think it goes back to Utd having a load of dead fans as season card holders.

It might give them a more reliable grip on ticket transfers too.

The more issues that get thrown up the more I’m thinking our ticketing system is pretty decent.

Judging by their performances this season I think most of them wish they were dead.

A banner with Khaldoon’s name and a quote from him on it. Preferably inside the stadium but if not outside. Hold him to account and to his words.

True Colin but to optimise revenue they need tens of thousands of Blues paying regular prices, so demand outstrips supply for say the other half of the ground who are charged a premium.

They may not want it Tim, but it is an accepted by-product of the unacceptable matchday pricing. 60 something to £78 for Brighton?!! When I drive down (usually get a supporters bus) I park at a Utd fans house and he's a season ticket holder there. He was grumbling how sales were slow for Arsenal as they were priced at £66 and would normally be snapped up quickly. I told him he didn't know the half of it.

Genuinely don't know many blues that would pay £78 to watch City-Brighton and it is clearly geared towards people going as a one-off experience.

The £30 returns for Leicester should have been snapped up fairly quickly, but I think when somebody accepts they're priced out they stop looking altogether or are resentful at picking up the scraps. I believe this is what is happening here.

I didn’t realise that - it’s probably because when tickets go on sale for cup games etc there doesn’t seem to be much of a reduction for concessions.

It is actually a massive saving on a season ticket.

City haven't priced Leicester at £30. £51 is the cheapest adult ticket, that is outside the returned Leicester tickets where they have to see at the same price as Leicester I believe?

City haven't priced an adult ticket for under £50 for years, for league games.
