Make 132 a singing section, diagonally opposite 111, and invite people to go there, stand about and sing through the game. People from all over the ground will relocate here if it's done in time for renewals, and it's also a relatively cheap seat- the same price as any other Level 1 North or South Stand seat. All the suppressed singers in every part of the ground, especially in the North Stand, will gravitate there, even if the lads in the SE corner turn there noses up at it. It can swell ranks, over the seasons, both ways, into the North stand and over the tunnel into the Colin Bell, so you might end up with an almighty din coming from both corners.

Even so, the disparate nature of this will never lend its to getting the entire stadium singing together. Ho hum.

IMO this is the next best thing. 132 and 140. Two sections giving that end of the ground a voice to join in.

be interesting to see how many people would relocate to the south stand from their exisitng seat for this game if they had the chance. bet it would sell out in minutes if promoted correctly.

Agree mate, i think this needs to be acted on quickly a possible this a great idea.

everything is being looked at, however i can't see anything being done with so few home games left.

Do you think it needs two voices or just one to start it in 136?

Two voices would be ideal but one would do for now. I'm not sure it would work in 136 mate as the view for the blocks either side of it would be obstructed. 140/142 or 132/131 would be the only way it would work as they are in the corner like 110 and 111 are.

Would the TBA be interested in taking over one of the blocks above and fill it with people who want to sing pro city songs? Just looking at the ticket website and block 142 has alot of available seats in it for the Spurs game which says to be theres not alot of season ticket holders in there which would be great as not alot would have to relocate. TBA would really take off then, you could drape your flag over the tier above and make it The Blue Alliance block. You, felix and the rest of the lads at the back of the block starting the songs off, the north stand would join in, it would be rockin.

i will pass on anything that is agreed on here, its not all about bluemoon of course, other outlets will be having their say.

If im right its on the Tv their gonna bring even less, could even make it quid for kids in third tier as we only got 42,000 playing the other night.

Our only chance to trial Operation One End out is against Wigan. Surely those who have contact with the club can forward that idea on this week. There is 7 weeks(?) until that game.

It's on a Monday night as well. 1000 -1500 tickets will be plenty for Wigan. City should talk to Wigan, give them the upper tier tickets and leave it at that.(Just like Spurs and Chelsea did with us)

Once it's confirmed on the official website then the club can really push that night. Make it an event where all the singers(SS/111/110/109) and others can get together in SS Lower and sing their hearts out.

The alternative. 800 Wigan fans in the lower tier. The away upper tier remains empty and we get another Wigan and Pompey atmosphere. It's a no brainer.

I was watching the Kippax(?) on Tuesday. 'Stand up if you love CITY'(not my fav song TBH) was started in 110, then 109 joined and it stopped dead after that.(108)

Now don't get me wrong, it aint the best song, but all people have to do is stand up for 30 seconds. 3/4's of the Kippax(?) couldn't be arsed. Now I remember on quite a few occasions when we first moved to COMS, all the Kippax used to stand up and it went to the North Stand. Not anymore. Again, another example of fans not being arsed. Until we get a whole end singing and joining in, the ripple affect around the stadium won't ever happen unless it's a big game. And even then we seem to struggle ATM.(United at home in the Carling Cup)

Perhaps the club and a group from both singing sections can get together and come up with ideas for next season. There's no point in doing it now. The remainder of the season and the summer months will give us enough time to come up with and to implement ideas.

It's not that I can't be arsed to stand up when that song is sung. It's that I object to the inference that unless you're someone that is willing to obstruct someone's view of what's going on , then you're a crap fan, thus not only do I stay sat down for that one, I refuse to sing it.
It doesn't stop me singing other songs, but there are a fair few that are on my personal blacklist...

Never said you were a crap fan Norb. From doing it a few years back, nobody after 109 can be arsed anymore. Why?

because getting up would mean rearranging the tartan blanket, moving the thermoflask to one side and putting the garribaldis down jrb. its just not whats football is about,

The thermos is under the seat, for making the half time bovril, and the tartan blanket (well, it's not tartan) is in the boot of the car, and you're not seriously accusing me of eating squashed fly biscuits are you??

ps When I tried to start a song at the Swamp, that wasn't 'u-n-i-t-e-d' or 'the city is ours', there were no takers. (didn't take the car or the thermos to the swamp)

Why dont we all just hum, no one can tell if your humming, save the embarrasment of singing, Rolf harris's two little boys comes to mind, or if were adventuress we could try the battle of Britain theme and use pop pop pop pah's instead of hummm's.

All that, if/when we redevelop means never by the way.

I'll put the 'feelers' out. I'd be bang on it mate.

everyone seem to suggest and be well up for moving to a certain section of the ground however everytime it's organised very few actually do. forest 136 last season springs to mind. we've done it for a few games in 119 and it's actually worked quite well only problem being we dont actually know everyone thats taken up the seats and helped create an atmosphere. in order to work meetings (with those willing to move & with the club)/social events would need to be orgainsed, however once again this needs organising and takes effort

Good stuff, got a feeling it have to be for next season though as if we get in the champions league we could gain more season card holders. 142 the 'Blue Alliance Block' ;-)
