I'm impressed with Mikel Antonio and his story would be an interesting one to read. Admire how he's developed from a Division 2 winger into an impressive top flight number 9. Love watching him play except v us but our Boys seem to have his measure. Still, he's a real handful to most other defences, which is nice. Respect.

Watkins was very impressive and looks like Pep's kind of strikes. Workds hard quick technically decent.

For comedy...Harry Maguire

I have been impressed by Antonio in recent matches against West Ham. The way he held off Ruben to score last season was evidence of his strength and quality. He would have been a great plan B option for Kane in the Summer. Would have offered the raw power we have lacked since peak Yaya and given us a completely different option up front. Some concerns about his injury record and age but would have been worth a punt imo even if it to play mainly against the low block unambitious sides that we encounter (90% of our opposition).

I have wondered what the fuss is about Rice based upon his England appearances but recent games for his club have shown his quality. Would be too expensive for us as long as we keep playing a single DM and Rodri looks so good there but does look to have the technical quality to play for us.

Maguire is a weird one - he has some good qualities but has been pretty woeful recently - will be interesting to see what the new management team can do with him.

On form, Marcus Rashford is as good as any in the League. Always been my first choice for a new striker, but will never happen, sadly.

Quite impressed with Marvellous Nakamba the other night for Villa.

Tino Livramento for Southampton had a good game at fullback

Harvey Barnes is a bit of an enigma at times, but is a nice player and two-footed.

Luiz and Watkins from Villa are both very good players, Lamptey I like, but he's a bit of a short arse for a full back, Rice is decent, Donnarumma is world class and Neymar is a cheating diving mard arse. Lewis Dunk is decent, that Ronaldo bloke has some ability but he's an entitled wanker so its a no from me. Charles De Ketelaere and Connor Gallagher both had excellent games against us but I know little else of either. Thomas Partey hasn't set the world alight since his move to the arse, but he's always looked top class prior to that.
