Opposition view: Everton

Awful ground in an awful area. You could be describing Maine Rd and Moss Side. That is a very lame excuse. The reasons your crowds have dropped us because you play shit football, you are a selling club, your club has no ambition nor has it any aspiration. The resricted views you speak of have been restricted views since your ground was built, so what's changed? Can't understand why you come on bluemoon, sorry I do understand, there is fuck all happening at your shitty stuck in the 80s, dwelling on past glories club. Shut the door behind you lah!

Is that not the same as every club? Another lame excuse

Our capacity is 40,000 and we give 3000 to away fans. Of which only 4 or 5 times a year it gets sold out. Forget the price, forget the views and forgout how shyte we've been. These are our average attendances for the last 15 years...

2011 36.039
2010 36.725
2009 35.710
2008 36.955
2007 36.739
2006 36.860
2005 36.834
2004 38.837
2003 38.481
2002 33.530
2001 34.135
2000 34.828
1999 36.203
1998 35.355
1997 36.188
1996 35.428

I'm no fuckin mathematician but it's around 90% of all home seats old - even higher in the last 7 years.

Also, this has been Evertons worst spell as a football club, with the last decade being the only decade (apart from the 50's) over the last 125 years we didn't win the league or cup.

So, yes. I'd call that pretty loyal and a pretty decent history to boot. Even with a 'shyte' stadium - which is fcukin wornderful to watch football in.

PS don't forget that City went 18 years (1982 to 2000) averging between 19 and 28 thousand. That wasn't '95% and upwards'.

We like to think that a success of a club is due to how many times you are the best team in the league. Champions. Most people think that too like. that's why we're fourth in the standings.
Winning the league shows you are the most consistent team over 38 (or more in the past) games. Winning cup competitons as well shows you can win big games against other big teams in more high pressure [must win] situations. The League title, the FA Cup, the League Cup, and then the European Cup and UEFA Cup and the defunct ECWC are ALL important. Having a history of winning all kinds of trophies is the best reoresentaion of how successful a club has been, it portrays ultimate quality over many areas not just consistency in one.

Everton are the SEVENTH most successful club in England, not the fourth.

Liverpool is the most deprived city in England
No it's fucking not. Scousers in 'feel sorry for themselves', shocker!

Mooncat-I see you didn't go back to the early 90's with your attendance figures-you said yourself there are only 5/6 clubs who fill there away allocation, when we were in the 2nd & 3rd divisions we had teams come to Maine Road with a couple of transit vans full-so that makes our figures even better than they are. You've averaged 32300 in the past 19 seasons,so your know way near your 90%.

From my personal experiences with Everton fans over the last few years (since takeover, Lescott, etc) I have never seen such gloating, annoying, whining fans (apart from United).

Sick of this bullshit myth that somehow we sail around Abu Dhabi in yachts like millionaires and have no passion, whilst they gather round fires on the back streets of croxteth, all blood and guts. Bollocks.

They will try and get away with swamping the midfield, forcing us out wide, defend our crosses and score from a set piece header (not cahill again!). I respect the team for getting consecutive wins against us and more importantly their history and standing in the game which deserves respect, but the fans have the audacity to tell us how to behave when their behaviour smacks of jealousy, resentment and bitterness.

I make absolutely no apologies for saying that I hope we crush them with absolute ease. Swat them away like a fly.
