Every team in the PL will be strongly expected to lose at the Etihad Stadium this season

Despite our excellent start, brilliant squad and a manager that knows what he's doing. When I see comments like this I still can't quite beleive it's Manchester City being spoke about in such glowing terms.

Either can I Stony. Fuckin' superb . ;-)
We used to dream of football like this.

I think Edin will play. I can't see him starting midweek though. The XI we start on Saturday will determine the rotation well have over the next few months.

Actually, I'm not sure anyone ever dared....

If Carlsberg did Dreams, they still wouldn't be as good as what we're experiencing now.

I'm not religious...and this isn't an attempt to offend religious folk...but I'd liken it to finding out after a lifetime of faith in a particular religion, and in spite of overwhelming evidence to the contrary, the god you follow actually makes an appearance and your faith gets vindicated and a place in heaven is yours

Think only one team has really took it to us this season and thats qpr a game which they still lost.
Swansea were excellent in the first half. Everton made it very difficult and played a very different game. Wolves played very well for an hour or so and that was at our ground too. But as you say, we came out winners of all those games as well.

We were shit at Fulham, worst performance for a long time.

Im not saying none of those played well what I was saying was that QPR were the only team that brought it to us, everton played without an attacker, wolves played with 5 in midfield. Swansea had some decent passing.

I think the only team which really got in our faces were QPR

What's the story behind holding shoes above their heads?

It's a daft one Marvin... not quite sure where it all started

Do you City lads realise that Ashley and Llambias limit our away support these days. There are over 5000 applicants for every away game but they limit us to 1700... this for singing songs against Ashley at away games in the past ...and people wonder why we despise them so much.

I bet you guys don't know he also disbanded our singing end at SJP this summer for the same reason to split the anti-Ashley 'troublemakers' up and they have been relocated all over SJP.

Seeing as you claim Pardew hasn't managed a 'big club' do you not think that a tad arrogant as i'm sure West Ham fans wouldn't concur re this remark?

I claim? I haven't claimed that. Is that taken from the blog? if so apologies for misunderstanding. Most fans were annoyed when Pardew came in because we had sacked somebody who had done a fantastic job for no real reason and replaced him from somebody who had just been sacked by a League One club and had also been sacked by West Ham, relegated with Charlton etc.

His credentials are hardly that brilliant, he did a good job at West Ham in the Championship but ultimately it all came crashing to a hault when he had to manage them in the Premier League. West Ham are a fairly big club but one from an outsider's point of view he had ultimately failed at in the top level. Can you not see the argument for worrying about how qualified he would be for the job at NUFC if he had already failed at his other top flight jobs? I think most of the country thought it was a disasterous appointment at the time.

As it happens it's turned out Pardew is a tactically astute coach, a good motivator and is good with the media so nearly all fans have warmed to him.

Do you think that part reason for Pardew's success this season is that he wasn't put in charge of a team of prima-donnas but instead inherited some good pros and eager youngsters to work with. He is also a good communicator. I don't think it's the size of club that challenges a manager but the size of the egos of the players.

Mike "Saddam" Ashley. Pathetic. Still at least "Purely Belter" is a cracking film, but still no "There's only one Jimmy Grimble".
