Whenever I watch him he stands out. not the goal scoring machines McAtee and Palmer are but equally impressive outside of that imo.

Im amazed he's won the award as i just cant see past a technically brilliant but very frustrating and inconsistent player, with an unimpressive end product.

He could be amazing but he needs to make better decisions and find a bit more substance.

I've never understood your complaint about this from him.

He may not stand out or shine but he makes relatively smart decisions in passing and moving.

Yeah I don't see that either. His use of the ball is really smart.

Any rumors about the plans for him next season? Could he be integrated into some cup appearances or would a loan in Europe make sense?

No chance for integration imo.

Even with Palmer probably playing as a winger next season, James McAtee is ahead of him and we aren't promoting 2 academy players in the same position, there is no space.

Hopefully we get him a good loan, really, hopefully we get nearly the entire EDS a good loan, almost all of them need to be moved on to for a loan, buyback option, or complete full sale.

sorry you have no idea how to evaluate talent. no wonder you are not involved in the academy or the analytics of it. I will later make a detailed post about how oscar bobb is differnt to palmer in terms of playstyle and him relying on pace. I am bit busy now, but I am going to make a post later explaining the difference.
Have you had time for this post yet? I wouldn't mind seeing a detailed breakdown of how Oscar Bobb reminds you of Leroy Sane too if it's not too much trouble?

I rate him and think he has a shot - he can do stuff that others really can't, especially with the final pass, but he can be a little frustrating too. He is a great prospect, IMO.
From the highlights.....he looks to be developing physically too.

As ive always said, wonderful talent and skill but so inconsistent and frustrating.Again from highlights only.....he does look like he is addressing those flaws.

Tough to call if he'll end up here or playing for some obscure team manged by an ex Rag manager.

Respectfully Fantasy...

This has never been true about Bobb (highlighted in bold). I think you should stop repeating this over and over again, it is not true.

Oscar Bobb vs Chelsea U21s last month -

For a kid in the Academy, he plays so much like David Silva it's unbelievable. Obviously whether he could carry that over to 1st team level could be a different thing, but he's got poise, control, can dribble and can pick a pass, so he's got a chance.

Love that reverse pass to the right wing near the end.

I have seen him play a number of times live at the Academy over the last couple of seasons and every time I see him I'm impressed. I'm not sure where people are getting he is inconsistent from he is anything but that, in the games I've watched he has performed better than some of the better known players like McAtee.

A very talented player who, hopefully, can make the next step. He has the ability to beat a player, and a delicious weight and accuracy of pass to create key chances.

I've been watching him since he arrived as an 8 stone midget, and i watched him against Dortmund a couple of weeks back.

He started brilliantly, controlling the midfield and making beautuful, incisive, passes.

Come the second half,he had all but vanished.

Thats what im talking about.....while he is undoubtedly improving, and growing physically, but he lacks the ability to effect a game for 90 mins. When he learns to do that,he will be dynamite.

Players hardly impact a game for 90 minutes, unless maybe Messi or Grealish but with the latter it depends on the type of impact.

When i say impact, that also includes not disappearing or getting sloppy. There have been many games where he has been carried for periods, and that isnt good enough.

Just to reiterate......he is improving in every respect, and he has only just turned 19.

Personally,he'd have been another going on loan rather than stuck in the EDS.
