Flip him to Palace in a player plus cash deal for Wharton . They get Bobb and about £50m, we get Wharton. Everybody happy except every other Club in the League and the Red Media.
That poster won't be happy until we have a starting 11 all made up from academy lads. This is Manchester City mate. An elite club at the top of the tree striving for trophies. We haven’t got time for fucking about. You either come in and make an impact and/or show serious potential to do so, or we get someone else who will.
That’s not harsh, it’s reality.
Bobb hasn’t shown enough. Imo he’s very similar to how Macatee faired last season. Bags and bags of ability but doesn’t back himself to take his opportunity by the scruff of the neck. Doesn’t have that eye of the tiger. Not quite “ready” mentally.
Needs a loan.
Frustrating one really as he does appear to have the required skill set. However, fate having conspired against him he has entered a valley period and is not progressing as we might have expected. A move might be best for all concerned at this stage. My opinion is the lad has had plenty of chances to impress and make an impression but sadly he hasn't done that, a move is best for all.
It'd be great if we could get a loan, but some issues is sometimes the other club just doesnt play the player, so sometimes risky, just have to make it ironclad and clear he has to play and im for it.I will be disappointed if he goes because I believe he has the potential to be a world-class player. Nevertheless, at this moment, he is not going to replace Erling, Cherki, Foden, or Doku, and probably not Savinho either, and we have McAidoo, Heskey, and the Samba boys coming up on the rails - all technical and very physical - and he needs game time to bring out that potential. A loan or a sale with a buy-back seems fair to him, and fair to the club.
He was great before his horrific injury. He may never be the same player again. So a transfer or loan is sad but inevitable.Get £30m for him and move him on.
If he does go, we will get loads moaning about the fee we get because some city fans are convinced he's a world beater.
He is very talented but doesn't have the end product or commitment to be good enough for us.
He wasn’t “great” by any stretch. Goal v Newcastle aside he didn’t do much worth shouting about as far as I can remember? He was great before his horrific injury. He may never be the same player again. So a transfer or loan is sad but inevitable.

Give over mate. Foden was 17 when he started featuring in the first team and he delivered from the word go. Granted, he wasn’t playing week in week out but when he did it was obvious he was class and going to be a first team star. Bobb isn’t in the same universe.Literally the same was said for Foden when he was younger. Fair enough a couple uesrs younger, but if he and we had to be patient.
If he wants to leave fair enough, but don't think there is any reason to push him, myself. Doesn't take up any of the limit spaces in the squad, won't be on high wages.

I rate Bobb higher than Savinho (although he is not as bad as people think)Give over mate. Foden was 17 when he started featuring in the first team and he delivered from the word go. It was abundantly clear Pep rated Foden extremely highly. I remember him saying something along the lines of seeing Foden as an important player for us over the next decade. Pep knew Foden was going to be world class. Dont recall him making any similar proclamations about Bobb. That discussion on foden was gong in when he was at least 19. People were calling for him to go on loan for 'playing time', both blues and outside the club. Which I noted when I said a couple years younger.
Bobb showed real potential. And he made an impact whenever hea featured, up until the injuries.
I have no issue with him leaving at all, if he wants to. Or another top player coming in either. But I am not on board for this active wishing him gone.
McAtee was different, less time on his contract, looking for a move, unlikely to feature. Bobb's been called on a lot more when available. Closer to Foden than McAtee in that regard.
