Hang on. It was only a bail hearing not the full blown trial. Anyway they have to keep him in otherwise he will do a runner.

Yeah I know, but surely the real trial will be similar to the bail hearing today.

Well if it is he walks (no pun intended- well actually there was) Yes I agree the cops were made to look pathetic but when they pull all the evidence together, (Forensics takes months etc) they will surely make a better job of it. I do get the impression this will be a little like the OJ Simpson trial, rich famous man backed by very expensive lawyers gets off with it. But the cops were ridiculed because they said they had a witness who heard shouting. When that witness gives their own evidence it will be a lot harder to attack them as the defence did to the cop.
 
The Police had to admit the witness couldnt identify the voices & were 600 meters away from the house .Lets not forget wether he is found guilty or not he did kill hi sgirlfriend
 
A SA journo was on the radio this morning talking about a rugby player who shot his own daughter dead after mistaking her for an intruder, didnt serve any time in prison
 
There's obviously a long way to go yet but I find it striking that she apparently had no defensive wounds to her body. If an altercation did take place firstly in the bedroom and a big argument for over an hour then you'd expect to find some evidence of that surely?

Now the lead investigator Hilton Botha is also being investigated for attempted murder from 2011
