From what I read he's got a £36m buyout clause. So I'd imagine a buying club want him before he plays a CL game.

Maybe mate, but the money they will get from qualifying to the group stage could out-weigh any possible loss in a fee.

It's not like his fee will massively drop, Otamendi is a very good defender.

Valencia have to face Monaco which will be a tough test.

Him playing in the CL Qualifier does not tie him. He could play for another CL team if he plays against Monaco.

Honestly would welcome him assuming we get a LB first. Having CB depth of Otamendi, Kompany, Mangala and Denayer would be great. We would not suffer from Kompany being out of form or injured since we will have a excellent defender in Otamendi.

i dont think city would give up on mangala that quickly, ive not had the chance to see otamendi play much so I dont even know if it would be worth it
