Not certain mate but I do find it a bit strange,seeing that we`ve promoted our Young Scottish Footballer of the Year.I`d be kind of pissed off if I was him,unless we actually moving another centre back on ?

Better to have him this year than face a potential auction for him next year and Demichielis off at the end of the season. I hope this is not to the detriment of Mangala as I can see him coming good this year. Let's hope he carries that horrible unwashed Costa round in his back pocket today.

He's fast, hard as nails, makes a lot of Hollywood last ditch tackles, blocks and clearances. Is very good at defending with a high line. Good on the ball.

Scores quite a lot of goals as well.

He's much more of a covering defender than the "jump out of the line" defender. So he should be a good foil to Vinny.

He played with Mangala for a few seasons at Porto and he's played with Zaba on international duty a lot.

Also has a big beard and lots of tatts.

We have 4 players for 2 positions. Yaya, Fernandinho, Delph and Fernando. Plus Zuculini if back up is needed.

Who thinks he's nailed on to come to us? The press talk shite and the bookies are reacting to people's wagers (influenced by the press talking shite). I'll believe it when I see it because we really don't need a centre half.

No and no. He can play right back in an injury crisis but we already have 2 top right backs.

Management have decided Mangala needs a breather from the Premier League to avoid killing his career, so he will go to Valencia on loan to rebuild confidence in a competitive side.
Otamendi just about the best CB out there that is 'gettable' and despite a taste for last ditch heroics which could make him a red card liability, with good instruction can provide perfect partner for VK. MDM is in his last year before returning to Argentina, and is a golden cover CB, Denayer will learn from the best, and be ready to step in where necessary and challenge for a first team pot from next season.
