Other fans perceptions of us.

Let's turn this question around....

What did other fans think of us pre takeover?

My answer ....they liked us and for many fans we were their second club and why was that? Because we were a decent team, no serious threat, had a good, loyal, vocal and humorous away support and were seemed to be cool.

Added to that a visit to the Etihad/Maine Road was a decent chance for a good game and a possible 3 points.

Now we are hated, serial winners, buying the best players, great facilities and hammer most teams home and away.

Going back to the original question do you want to be liked and losers, or hated and winners?

Used to think we were cool because we still followed in great numbers when we were shit and associated with the whole Oasis thing… but hated us because of our firms always taking liberties all over the country going back decades.

Unfortunately, it is from within the safety of a braying mob, that creates the perfect conditions for racists to hide, and then have the confidence to shout racist abuse. We have all seen these types down the years.

Also, it is ridiculously foolish and counter productive for England fans to slag off any England player, when in next years World cup you will be expecting them to fulfill your dreams once again.

It's an English trait that I find particularly idiotic. Like cutting your own fingers off, then bemoaning the fact that you cannot have a tug anymore.
Let's not pretend like United fans wouldn't be singing about Sterling and Foden missing penalties if the shoe were on the other foot.
