Exactly this. No way could a semi-final beat a cliff-hanger where we either win something important or climb off our death beds. For me:
Newcastle 1968
Gillingham 1999
QPR 2012.
Yep - would agree with that. The derby against United a few games before that was huge too - the world was watching that one. And before that, as others have said, the Semi against United, and, of course Gillingham - which is still in many people's eyes the biggest in our recent history. Not sure if tonight is our biggest, but it's the most important we've had since the QPR game.
You can't say with any certainty whatsoever whether we would or we wouldn't. We hardly flew up that season, did we.I think this is urban myth. We would have gone up the following season. My, but it was fun though.
So on that basis beating Wigan in the play off semis was massive otherwise there was no Gillingham eh?Makes you laugh when people put up moments that happened prior to actual big moments.
I read above Newcastle away was the biggest, without Newcastle there is no QPR. What a fucking daft way of looking at it. Does that mean the United game is even bigger then because without United there is no Newcastle moment, then no QPR moment? Bollocks.
Anyway Gillingham has got to be seen as the biggest game for me. Saved our club
That game never happened, I have erased it and the jigging **** from my memoryLuton Town at home was our biggest and we lost it.
Took on a downward spiral that went completely out of control at one point
