Would people take the Shield more seriously if it was called the English Super Cup, I wonder?
errr no

Just if it was classed as a competative game, not a friendly. I'll be honest, i am only going because its against United, otherwise i would see it as a pointless game.

Son-in-law who is a rag season ticket holder. Said you can normally get a community shield ticket with ease. But cos it's City they all want one.

apparently we've sold 22000 and the rest have been sent to wembly, but ive got mine :)

Don't believe that and think we'll sell out. Even if not, by standing up and spreading out slightly it will still look full minus a thousand or two anyway.

It really does not matter, as near as dammit we have sold 90%. Guess like the rags if we started selling 2 weeks earlier we would have sold out but WTF.

Times are tough, we are still in the main a working class Manchester based supported club and not a southern based middle class support outfit like the rags who live round the corner, no travel cost compared to ours.

3 Wembley trips in such a short period hammer our budget with families, Holidays and season tickets to boot to copper up with.

WTF I watched City hammer Huddersfield 10-1 in a crowd of 22.000 and will be there today but do not think any the less of Blues who just cannot afford another expensive trip south to watch a friendly.

We will shout for you, the clowns complaining are just that. Supporting this club has never been based on "we have more supporters than you"
Its quality not quantity.

Fuck off you rag.

Obsessed.

I thought they sold out?

Obviously there were empty seats galore in our end but unless my eyes are faulty I saw many empty seats in their end too?
