It's a reflection of the fact our fanbase is predominantly working class Mancunian who prioritize the league games - hence the pathetic cup attendances we've always had for years. This is just another on of those games that people can't be arsed with.

To make the game mean something it should be part of the Premier League fixture list for the new season so if you win you get 3 points and so on, if a team from a lower division get to the FA Cup final then play it as w do now. I can tell if it was there would not be a empty seat any where.
