Why is it everyone who couldn't go has a sob story to tell?

All my mates who didnt go weren't on holiday, have plenty of money, etc. They didn't go because they couldn't be fucked, simple as that.

The people who have no money to go, fair enough. However, if you want to go to a match, you'll always find a way.
not if its a friendly and you couldn't give a flying fuck about it,no sob story there

Poor that we didn't sell it out IMO, but the simple fact is their London gloryhunting fanbase severely boosted their numbers.

Not rabid anti-United myself so not just saying this, but the number of people in United shirts with southern accents at Wembley was, quite frankly, ridiculous.

Seemed like almost every time one opened their gob within earshot of me it was 'fack this' and 'fack that'.

They have plenty of fans in Manchester, not saying they don't, but they weren't the ones at the game it seemed. Certainly not in any greater numbers than us...

We were sat in traffic after the match when this group of six Asian lads in rags starting shouting 'Fack off back to Manchester!!!!!'

You really couldn't make that stuff up, very surreal but these are the times we live in.

Exactly. All these fuckers pleading poverty, or their cats just died etc, should just admit they couldn't be fucked

Sob stories and calling it a friendly seem to be the cop out.
Ferguson, his players, supposedly Mancini (who cancelled the fun element of the fun day), the fans that were there and all the media didn't think it was a useless exercise and christ the reaction after it you wouldn't think it meant nothing. The club makes it's biggest transfer in its history (alright he didn't play but he might have) we finish joint 2nd and win the FA cup and we can't even come close to filling our end - let alone the 95% of club Wembley that was red. It was embarrassing believe me - and deflating haveing to look at swathes of empty sections (not seats) in our end and their end rammed full !
City til I die??
City til money's a bit tight or I can't be asred!

Where do you get your opinion that 95% of Cub Wembley was red from?

No colours allowed and isn't it the same people who go to each game? Club Wembley was more than half empty anyway.

Thanks for the stay aways, if we had of sold out i wouldnt have gone head first over the empty row infront when ed scored. Game didnt need to be at wembley, simple

It wasn't more than half empty!
And the little clue was that when united scored they all went mental after having sat stoney faced when we did
