Our glaring weakness at LB, will it be fixed?

I here this a lot, but is he really? I've watched Leicester at least 7 times and I'm certain Fuchs is far and away a superior footballer to Kolarov, so is Patrick Van Aanholt at Sunderland, Monreal at Arsenal just to name 3.

His sprinting to join the attack is impressive, I'll give you that. And he does have a good low cross, but that's it. Frankly besides those 2 qualities, his tackling might be his 3rd best quality. But his ball control, his touch, his decision making and general interplay are all grossly below average. He is what I call a positional stiff. A left back who just happens to play football. What we need is a footballer who just happens to play left back.

Fuchs, Monreal and Van Aanholt are nowhere near Kolarov's level and I'm not even a particular fan of Aleksandr.

Kolorav is worth keeping around just so my girl will acquiesce to watching the games. I'd just as soon watch without her, but I cant exactly watch in a bar at 8 AM on a Saturday.

Kolarov is a frustrating player but he gets some unfair stick. On his day he is superb, it's the inconsistency in his game and the bad days that frustrate. No doubt we'll upgrade in a year or two, but there's not many better out there, certainly in the PL.

Sunderland's left back better than ours? Not even close in my opinion.

I dont think Kolrov is all too brilliant. We seem to think between Zabaleta, Kompany, and Kolorov, we have the best defenders in their respective position, but why doesnt it reflect on the goals conceded charts? Arsenal, Tottenham, Crystal Palace, Man United have all conceded less goals.

Ive always though Azpelicueta was the best left back in the league, and Bellerin and the best right back. As the years go by, Zabaleta and Kolorov are starting to show their age. Jut because they were the hands down the best 2-3 ears ago, doesnt mean thats the case today.

Im not sure there are many on here or anywhere that think kolarov has ever been the best defender.

Kolarov is a LM not LB but even with his inadequacies, he's done a disservice with the lack of cover provided. All our full backs are getting on and we need to sign/develop young replacements with World class potential.

Need a top young rb and a top young left back asap! Hopefully sagna and clichy will stay on a year or two as back up

Kolarov can be one of the most frustrating players in our squad at times but one thing he isn't guilty of, which plenty are is...... Hiding!
He will always show for the ball and he will always try and be positive with it too. The other thing kola is excellent at is his defending at the back post. He wins crucial headers in his own box on a weekly basis at the back stick.
I'll admit he doesn't stop enough crosses from his side but for me he still has a future at the club, with a youngster coming in to rival him!
It's Kola over clichy for me!
