He said he's met the Sheikh and he obviously has - 2 weeks ago, in direct contradiction to Cook's bullshitting about the spurs game.

Why can't you just watch the interview and accept what was said?
He met Khaldoon at the beginning of December, and not the owner...he got confused the first time but corrected himself numerous times.
This was EXACTLY what Cook said. Mancini met khaldoon for a general meeting/sounding out. This is called contigency planning, and I would be VERY worried if out board of directors did not have the foresight & nouse to do this.
The decision to change manager was made post Spurs game, when an actual offer was then made to Mancini.
All sides have said the same, so why bother trying to have an agenda against Cook?
Were getting enough shit from twats in the media without negative, unhelpful and unjustified comments such as those from yourself yesterday and today.
I for one have never been happier with a new managerial appointment (despite being a firm Hughes inner) and am very happy with the way in which we are being run...it was not intentional that a leak appeared to the media but we have dealt with itas well as could be expected - just a shame that the media have acted like this is the first EVER change of managers in the history of English football.

best post we've had all week. totally agree with all you say. press trying to spin and split stories but the chain of events and, as you point out, advance planning, is exactly what we need.

Listen, City made the decision to change manager weeks ago.

If you believe that the decision was made after the Spurs game you're naive.

I'm not bothered. I would expect them to get a new man sorted before plunging the club into chaos. I'd much rather it this way than having no manager and endless speculation over christmas.

this.

it has to be remembered that although our owners had decided a change was required they couldn't implement the plan until we got beat, Spurs defeat gave them the excuse.

Do you think our owner will ever watch a City match live?

Never under Hughes if Mancini only last 6 months he might not see one under him!!

Roman whatever you might say watches alot of Chelseas matches and these Chinese at Birmingham seem pretty keen too!

R we just a play thing do you think? Or will he make an appearence at a final!! If we get there!!

He is not just a Billionaire (therefore needing huge security) he is the leader/royal of his country (therefore requiring certain protocols befor visiting another country). It just not like Chelski at all.

EDIT: I was wrong this link on point 5 proves so.

Garry Cook said he flew over to tell Hughes the decision in person. But then again Cook says a lot of things
And unfortunately too many people decide not to listen closely or have their own agenda and tell us he said something else or are just stupid and need our pity.
