I'm happy with the two trophies and finishing 2nd. Im looking forward to next season.
We may be we g go Ave lots of areas we can improve onThere are a few similar topics. All I wanted to say, was well done City. I think we finished the season as the best team in the league but the fixture schedule prevented us from catching up after a slow start. Arsenal won the league but they did it through brute force and a bit of luck at the right time with refereeing decisions.
When the new season starts, we will be favourites.
A great season, the 11th best in our 133 yr (146yr) issstreee. Although the constant failure/bottlers media narrative since last night may have the feeble minded thinking otherwiseIf any blue isn’t happy with this season they are spoiled brats. Every club in the league would be happy to trade places, bar one.
Correct, it was Burnley when we didn't score enough goals ;-)4 defeats in the first 3 months of the season then 1 in the next 5. Didn’t lose the title at Everton or Bournemouth.
Tbh i just dont think we should be losing to teams like Spurs no matter the situation. I also don't think we should be getting beat by teams like Leverkusen & Bodo so easily. Last season losing to Palace in a cup final? Shocking.Last season we finished on 71 points, so why would you expect City to get 90+ again, or perform like previous title-winning City sides? We needed to rebuild. We might finish around 78-81 points but you could argue, that the season was one of transition, and that should we start the season now we would be stronger still.
I think we are still trying to rehabilitate Rodri, and Cherki is adapting. Cherki is great with the ball, but he is a risk without it, and with Rodri not at 100% yet, it is a risk to start Cherki. Foden's form has been variable. So our midfield is still a concern.
I don't see how you can be shocked by our Premier League form. 24-25 was a season which saw the departure of KDB, Gundogan and Walker and serious injury to Rodri. To recover, City had/have to rebuild. It is another discussion as to how far through rebuilding we are. IMO we are a better side now than Arsenal but clearly not over the season.
No problem with this. It’s more than expected for me.I'm happy with the two trophies and finishing 2nd. Im looking forward to next season.
