There were far worse than Keegan mate. Alan Ball (RIP), Frank Clark,Steve Coppell,Phil Neal,Allison(2nd time) ,I'm an old twat and remember the ineptitude of this bunch. All started in 79 when rughead brought Malcolm back who was never a manager, took us 30 years to recover.
There's another one from the 90s period...can't remember his name right now....

I agree with the OP, some seem to feel that we are entitled to win everything. The Premier League attracts many of the best players in the World and other clubs are getting good players in. Losing David Silva, Aguero, Kompany, Sterling, Zinchenko and Jesus over the last three years would surely disrupt any club. Alvarez and Haaland look exciting prospects, but we need to learn how to use them to best advantage. Haaland was on fire until the World Cup got in the way, so other teams have worked out ways to block the feed. We have been a bit rocky since November but we are still capable of beating anyone else, it will come again. If Kev had been fit to play last night we probably would have won.

I grew up with Keegan at the helm. I won't forget those miserable days. Every day now supporting City is a blessing.
Miserable? He got us promoted with us scoring 108 goals and getting 99 points as league winners, we finished 8th (our highest league position for a decade) in our season back up and last season at Maine Road beating United in the last ever MR derby, then we moved to a new stadium and stayed up the next season with a cracking win over third placed Newcastle at home… they were really good years!

The promotion season was one of my favorite in supporting this club, great football, entertaining and hope for a bright future.
