outpricing and moving longterm season ticket holders

I think a lot of the level 2 seats going forward will just be available on a match by match basis rather than all ST.

Match ticket, padded seat, access to bar with pay food. The entry level to corporate.

We have enough visitors/casual fans now who will be happy to pay £80/£100 for that experience for the games against the likes of Hull and Villa

For the games against Rags/Liverpool/Chelsea/Arsenal, I expect they could easily charge £150/£200 for this. Businesses would snap them up.

I expect they want £2k a year from these seats rather than the £750 they currently get, Increase in revenue of £5m plus a year

6000 more seats in SS selling at an average of £500 is another £3m if we do NS extension then another £3m.

Whilst I would rather not be moved, I see it as a way of me paying a bit less going forward and getting first choice of the new stand will certainly help.

Its simple if we want the best players we have to find ways of paying for them. I understand it is upsetting to be moved. Perhaps the club could do more. i.e. compensation half price season ticket for the first year after the move or something.

I think there should be a league table (points for all intents and purposes) where fans rank in a hierarchy...
However, it shouldn't be boosted by the purchase prices over the years, because I don't really believe someone who can afford a great seat is necessarily any more loyal than someone who can't. That said, I'm sure some will feel that if they've spent more with the club, they deserve more priority.

The 'ranking' should allow for someone who's supported for many years, and can no longer afford a season ticket (or just needs to take a break, for whatever reason) to slowly slip down the rankings. Someone shouldn't fall to the back of the queue because they lose their job and can't afford this year's season ticket, they should be be able to get back on the bus relatively quickly having been high ranking and slowly slipping down.

It's a decent system (in my view) and doesn't unduly punish anybody who can't afford a ticket for a while. Of course, the longer they go without, the more they'll start to slip down the rankings, and conversely, the longer someone's waited the higher up the rankings they will get.

i know lots of Liverpool fans never stand of a chance of getting tickets because people share a season ticket, or they 'lease' it to a mate for a period of time. I'm not sure that's ideal, but I can understand why they do that - because they dare not give up their season ticket as they'll never get it back.

With a properly administered ranking system, they'd not have to be so worried about never getting it back.

You are describing exactly the loyalty point system. I had a couple of years off being a season ticket holder about 6 or 7 years ago and just picked up my points where I left off when I came back.

It was the old 1st/2nd/3rd/4th/5th year/Regular season ticket system which sent people to the back of the queue.

It works like this now? I didn't know that!
I mean I'm aware of the points etc for getting cup tickets and what have you, but since I've not been in the position of having to stop the season ticket and restart it later (not for a long time), I've not encountered the situation.

If it works this way now, I'm all for that, and I think it's right. It's the back of the queue horror I think is totally wrong.

It doesn't upset me to be honest. I currently sit in an area that is full of different faces every game. A few regulars who I like sitting with, but way too many corporates and people who stare if you swear! Doesn't suit me and believe me the likes of Kolorov have got off lightly from me in recent years due to this!

I will save a minimum of £150 a year on current prices and probably be sat in first 5 rows of the new stand which looks like it will be a good view.

I was paying £500 a year watching the shit that Pearce served up so £599 for this will be bargain time.

You don't need thousands of individuals to buy, just large companies who will invite the individuals. It works in all other forms of business.

most businesses build on keeping existing customers happy and that helps to generate new business.

I would like to see the list of companies that are queueing up to buy these seats.

Not really utilities, phones tv, deals are always better for new customers, existing customers get offered little incentive the companies just hope for lethargy or customer loyalty. But don't you think the club will have done some research into what corporate business is out there ? Plus deals with global companies like Nissan, Etihad will bring some corporate custom.

The Club have paid for agencies to bring in more corporates but these methods have failed to date as evidenced by the ES and CB level 2 season card prices still being below the £1,150 headline figure.

Also, the Club has failed to sell many CL corporate seats and I have been offered my seat back in 206 after being relocated a couple of times!

Good point about many companies exploit apathy!
