It's been known about for ages my mates relocated to Level 1 east from Level 2 due to the cost increasing out of their range 3 years ago

I said earlier, if this happens the club should do what they can to offer people comparable alternatives. They shouldn't be put at the back of the queue with the newcomers choosing shit seats at the front of tier one or back of tier 3. Id assume that an increased capacity, and the relocations which will happen, will open up options.

Also read the hierarchy for next years season cards,

-There is a renewal period for everyone first.
-Then those effected by the level 2 east/west get first dibs relocation window, this includes first pick on new stand.
-then a window for the rest of seasoncard holders wanting to relocate.
- then a further window for those effected to relocate.

Not asked me and my mates to move yet but the freshly built walls and markings on the ground tell me the writing is on the alan ball. Only a matter of time. Club could not be more blatant. Small minded? Do me a favour DD. We're talking about fans moved from the maine stand at maine road and who have sat happily together and for years and who have a massive bond. The biggest problem with moving and the reason i haven't is that the new seats are just not as good location. Also depends on whether my mates want to move at the same time. You have to either pay more or compromise your view etc, or walk away.

I've managed to deal with every increase and not sure how far I'd be prepared to go, especially as the service doesn't seem to improve with the price hike. Bars are still rubish , food cost still to high etc.

I think with the new stand opening next season it will be interesting to see what the new prices are. I would not move to the top tier unless i was on front 5 or so rows.

I understand and sympathise mate. I was a main stander as well. But I can honestly see it from both sides and think that, as long as you are looked after with the relocation it isn't the end of the world. Remember, the opening of the new stand will mean a number of relocations and might just give you comparable - or even better options.

I've moved my season ticket three times now. All within the same stand, but you soon get to know the people around. Of course you should be allowed to stay together as family/friends.

I didn't renew one year for personal reasons and I've never been able to get back closer to my dad than about 40 seats. It isn't the end of the world to be honest.

I can understand the op's frustration, but this is how it's going to be from now. We still have the best value for money season tickets in the prem. If there's anyone to blame about ticket prices, it's uefa. What about fair play to the fans? I can see us being the first english club to sell season tickets at bundesliga rates, but not for a few years while the project is still in its early phase.

DD, Im with you. What really, reallly pisses me off is the total disregard for long term supporters. In a time where the atmosphere is absolutely dog shit, we're quite happy to shift loads of loyal blues along their merry way for a few extra quid for tourists. It's not right. We all know it. It stinks and its not on.

Despite the rumours stretching back a couple of years, actual hard information for the fans currently occupying seats in the East and West stands level 2 has been in short supply. Nobody to my knowledge has been informed of the impact the new developments will have on them specifically, or exactly what will be on offer for the rumoured £1150 a season. If, as has been suggested, all that is on offer is access to 'enhanced' catering facilities then it seems an awful lot of money to pay for the opportunity to spend some more money on food and drink. Quite how the club can soften the blow of what is effectively Hobson's Choice when it comes to relocation is beyond me. Sadly it is inevitable that groups of supporters who have enjoyed each other's company at matches for many years will find that they can no longer have that experience. If the club feel that this is necessary in order for it to continue to progress then so be it, but I'm pretty sure there will be many disgruntled level 2 supporters next season.

City wrote to Season Ticket holders in Colin Bell Stand and East Stand Level Two including myself ahead of the 2010/11 season to advise us for the 2011/12 season the areas will be refurbished to a high standard providing a premium experience for supporters. To include improved facilities and services on the concourse. With the improvements there will be increases in price. Supporters had the opportunity to relocate ahead of the 2011/12 season. Prices were to be staggered over two seasons. At this time they also announced 'Value Seasoncards' being available at £250.00. Not sure when but padded seats were installed in a number of blocks.

2010/11 - Paid £535.00
2011/12 - Paid £590.00
2012/13 - Paid £700.00
2013/14 - Paid £740.00
2014/15 - Paid £835.00

2012/13 Direct debit option brought in. Much appreciated.

I await further communication with interest as to prices and standard/availability/timescale of seats to move to. Hopefully any increase in hospitality areas will help to keep 'standard' seat prices as low as possible and with new additional seating areas maybe bring prices down, though I recognise City is a business so do not hold much hope for this.

I don't have the answers. However advance notice from the Club is always good and helps to plan for costs etc.
