This were taken,according to the details endorsed on first pic,before the derby with utd on 6th November 1971. Game ended up 3-3, with Bell Lee and Summerbee all scoring,in front of a huge 63,326 fans.

In the return fixture at old trafford,on April 12th,a smaller crowd of 50 odd thousand saw us run out 3-1 winners, Francis Lee scoring twice, and Rodney Marsh scoring the other......

City finished 4th in the old First Division....a cursory glance of the players stats for 71/72 reveals Francis Lee as the only 'ever present ' in the team...42 games,and an impressive 33 goals.
