Re: owen hargreaves

I just hope he does better coming back from injury than Joe Cole or Kieran Dyer.

I disagree with most of what you say ANY1, but MCFC 4 EVER is seriously in contention to take your crown.

Lets hope that the outcome football wise is a little more productive for City, than Owen was at united.
Owen helped them to just one PL+CL double, so i hope he will be even more productive here! :)
I'm talking about Michael Owen, who has contributed very little at united in real terms, a few cameo performances, a few important goals, but hardly the "masterstroke" that the media portrayed at the time.

As for Hargreaves, we have nothing to lose for me, if it fails we lose little or nothing, if it succeeds then its a good deal, and has the bonus that it f**ks off united, and we can just thank them for getting our player fit for us.

One other bonus is that it keeps one of our physios in practice now we've lost Santa Cruz.

Has anyone seen the thread on ragcafe about this? They are going fucking mental, it's really winding some of them up in a big way.
Haha, fucking muppets.

Funny as fuck. Pissed myself listening to talkSport on the way home from work last night - rag who sounded like he was from Leeds called in saying Hargreaves was only coming for the money (having lived in Leeds and been to Elland Rd a few times, in my view being a rag in Leeds is a far bigger disgrace than moving from to a rival club from a club that doesn't want you).

Don’t normally look at sad café but I just had to today, and I was shocked at the quote below, at least one United fan has a sense of humour, or is it someone else in disguise.

"I thought I was signing for City initially, I never heard of United until I ended up there by mistake. It's been hard to pretend to be injured for that long but all's well that ends well"

Come on - own up , who was it ? ;)

Re: owen hargreaves

Five years ago he was the best player in an England shirt, and first on the team sheet - ahead of Rooney, Gerrard & Lampard. You don't lose ability.

We are going to need a replacement for Yaya in January/february and he fits the bill perfectly. Versatile, a brilliant tackler and loads of bottle.

If the medical shows he's fully repaired, and City wont give him a contract unless he is, he could be the bargain of the centuary. He still has 4-5 years left, and has vast experience which will be invaluable.

Best of all - it will piss off bacon face again as we put up the;

Yeah, some of the comments are pretty laughable.

It's like they think he should retire now United have released him so he doesn't disrespect them.

Fucking idiots the lot of them...course he's going to find a new club.

I'm surprised so many of them are kicking up such a big stink about it.

Hargreaves has completed 90 minutes for them in only one game in the past 3 years and due to the amount of money laid out by them in terms of transfer fee and wages it's clear they didn't think he was worth the risk of a fresh deal, even on a much lower salary. That's totally understandable given United's outlay on him these past 4 years, and I wouldn't mind betting that 99% of those spitting their dummy out on there agreed with the decision to release him.

Now all of a sudden we've got normally intelligent posters on there spitting their dummies out because it looks like he's joining us. I don't know what fucking drugs Pogue Mahone is on today because although he does talk shit on the odd occasion he's normally clued up but it seems to me on this occasion that he's lost his marbles completely lol.

While I can understand them going off on one when Tevez signed, in this case it's hilarious seeing them flapping like fuck over a player they'd all given up on and you know for a fact that if he was joining West Brom they wouldn't bat a fucking eyelid!
