Pablo Maffeo

Those young players can push so hard they can at the 1 ste team, but they never gonna make it at City.As soon as they are good ( or not good ) enough there going on loan or leaving by themself, and City will sell them for a reasenable price.Thats wat happens and always will be.they may be as good as they can City are just going to buy top players around the world.thats wat happens al the years with al the young players that Come to city.they come at u 16 ,u 17 ,u18, EDS,and then it stops here.then they have to make the right step for them in there carriere .look Denaeyer they toldhim there is no big defender coming in and a few weeks later they sign Otamendi. So Denayer's going on loan and probably never come back(only preseason)and he will be sold also like al the rest ,or he can do the same way as Boyata until he's 23 sitting on the bench and play 5 games a season .

On Denayer:
You do know Demichelis? You do know he's been brilliant for us, yet aging and most probably on his last year at City? Wouldn't you agree Denayer is much better of playing regular football than to sit on the bench, something he would have done even without Otamendi around. The arrival of Ottamendi simply ment for Denayer he could go somewhere else, play regular and improve even more.

On Boyata:
Imo he's been a very decent servant to the club. But seriously if you think he's good enough to be a regular CB for us you are deluded by the Black/Yellow/Red colours in your head.

So:
Tbh, I doubt you know much about City and less so the way the academy has been set up in recent years. If you wanna be a Cityfan and join on here as one, I suggest you considder your descision a little longer and start putting an interest in the club and it's development over the recent years. Including the new academy that has opened it's doors ... 9 months ago.
If however you just joined in to vent some frustraton about Belgium players, your name has probably appeared at Red Devils' (de)Cafe as well with Januzai on his bike to Dortmund, or Felliani who only made a name as a United-player for elbowing his way to the ball (according to raggies; I wouldn't know. Or because you're a fan of KDB and recently switched your Wolfsburg outfit for ours.

Hmmmm,Facey is leaving NY and Maffeo has recently been impressong at centre half......having introduced him to that position,is that where Paddy sees his future?

Now i rate Pablo much higher than Facey,however.......a concern is,he does get played in that position, and follows a similar pathway to Shay by losing his way a tad. Also while one or two greats of the game, over the years, have dispelled the 'size is an issue' factor........At only 1.73m,can he truly be an effective centre half? So,if the move does materialise,im hoping he's re-established in, what i believe, is his best position, right back.

I am puzzled by this. I thought that Maffeo was our brightest talent at full back. Why the hell are we shipping him out to New York when it is such a problem position for us. Surely this season we have ample opportunity to start to give him game time and integrate him into the first team squad properly?

Pellegrini has had enough chances to play and refused to so I doubt he would of played him later on in the season when Zab comes back.

He'd also play Clichy there if it came down to Sagna getting injured.

Makes no sense - RB is one of the few areas where NYCFC have a good player in Iraola

I rate him higher than all our EDS players.

Why not loan him to the Championship to gain some experience instead of NYFC !
