I fully appreciate that. I'm not saying that we are worse than other clubs in respect to this. However, the club consistently claim that the objective is to promote youth through the academy to the senior squad. So far only Iheanancho has made it.

Iheanacho didn't make it. He was sold for not being good enough and it is obvious that was the correct decision.

The only way anybody can criticise our Academy integration is if a player leaves who subsequently proves he is good enough to be in our team. I haven't seen that yet.

He's a half decent player who will hopefully go on to have a good career, if it's anything more than that, we also have that covered.

There weren’t any top Spanish clubs in for Carvajal when he left Real Madrid for the Bundesliga. Does that mean Carvajal is only half decent?

That would only reinforce my argument. I do think though that the argument could be made that he did make it. Perhaps out of necessity, but I do recall him starting a handful of games and getting a non-negligible amount of game time. The arrival of Jesus would have seriously limited his opportunities going forward.
