Palace v City post match thread.

Absolutely abysmal officiating, always seem to get it horribly wrong against us. Why? Lineup for a must win game totally wrong. Subs wrong. Lampard waste of space should of gone to NYCFC in January, what has he contributed since January? Why do we not play a consistent back four, tonight was crying out for Mangala. What has happened to our finishing, at the moment it looks like we need thirty chances before we score. Sort out the forward line and with the chances we create we'd win most games. Play the players in form. The future who knows, key players need to find form particularly Aguero and soon.

I said not to start with Yaya and Dzeko, so he did. Yaya was slightly better than of late but Dzeko is just awful.

De Niro in another thread said roll on Summer and got dogs abuse, but he was 100% correct.

Every team we play (apart from MUFC) will play exactly as Palace and we have no answer for it.

Their second goal was critical so why did Hart leave two thirds of his goal for them to aim at?

Bad buys have come back to haunt us, an ageing squad and a clueless manager - recipe for disaster.

Just read a stat saying we haven't won a Premier League game when losing at half-time for 20 years !
fucking appalling. how that is even possible

No backbone no leader in midfield we over passed it and over played it and no real service to Kun or Dzeko both need a goal big time. Im dreading the derby now next weekend. We should be going there to get into there face but those fuckers seem to be on a run. We need fighters on Sunday but we got a bunch of pussies at times.

Tonight we dominated but no major chances to our forwards. Refs well thats the usual they cant see it all on another day we would of won the game 2-1 not get beaten 2-1.

This has been the narrative of the season. Very very strange because if you actually look at the games we have played this season, we were more than capable of getting three points in almost all of them based sorely on performance in comparison to the opponent. So It is very strange and unlucky that we have managed to snatch defeat when victory seems easier or likely. There are games that really did not make sense like Burnley away, today even games like Chelsea away, many many games where we just dropped points for no reason after dominating.

The 2-2 draw at QPR, the liverpool 2-1 defeat at Anfield, and Arsenal 2-2 draw at the Emirates are the only games that I can identify from the top of my head as difficult games based on how things went. I know the West ham game in london was quite difficult as well but we created enough chances to not only draw but get the three points. I know there are more but my point is that we were good candidates to get all three points for most of the games this season, I repeat, based on how things transpired in the games, but just could not get it done.

This can be down to factors that really needs to be addressed in the off season. For one the manager needs to starting coaching the football team- he needs to sort the defense, micromanage and plan set pieces and also really develop proper attacking strategies so that the players will look more coordinated and decisive on offense because it seems that they are clueless when they get up there.

The players gave their all today but they could not stop the momentum of negative results.

Quite embarrassing position to be in but we just need to fight on until the end of the season starting this weekend and win the rest of the games left- cannot let this slump continue

Navas is a trustworthy player and hard working but it is very clear that he just does not make good crosses even though he offers great tactical advantage and is very diligent. A bit more cutting edge from him and the other better quality players and things would have been different.

But we were unlucky today, everything went against us and thus a very bad football day.

If we dont have two strikers in the team and Navas plays he usually does high crosses when no one in the box, or only Aguero between 3 very big defenders....

Now when we have Dzeko there and 90% of Navas crosses were weak/low crosses I mean the ball were staying on the grass the whole time. And werent even some strong ass low crosses like Kolarov does these were so weak that Palace defenders had it easy to block or even keep the ball or pass the ball to their teammates as they could easily control it.

Its a tactical decision because we know Navas can cross it high or low, but imo he was asked to do it low this time.

Must be similar reasons behind it as our corners practiced in trainings...

Some players are busting their gut while others aren't. I guess few of the players have lost belief in Peller.
I'm expecting a lot of "he scored the only goal today" replies for this. Yaya Toure shouldn't be allowed on the pitch unless he gets fit first. A professional footballer cannot look like that. Does anybody know how much he used to weigh and how much he weighs now. Fucking pathetic Yaya this is unacceptable.
We need young players that can actually provide competition between each other unlike now where there is no competition for a number of positions.
Yaya has to go he's become bigger than the club for over an year now. Shrek did it but that never transformed on to the pitch.
I'm sure any of the big boys like us would've kept him in the team after his attitude last season ie Madrid, Barca. Sure the swamptited kept shrek in but they are not the top dogs anymore because of that. We risk doing the same.
