Oh well we will do better in the europa league anyway

Yeah and you can concentrate on your other teams at the at a guess.

Seen us lose there twice in a season before in the league, decent performance, bad result. After the 2009/2010 coach delays it is unforgivable that for te next night match they did not set off earlier.

As I posted in the match day thread.

Manuel Pellegrini is the problem in my opinion.

Ha has unnecessarily chopped and changed the starting eleven. I know here have been occasions where injuries and availability have dictated this but in the main he has not been able to field a settled side. Along with this he plays strange and unorthodox tactics.

He should select the way he wants to play and field a consistent team (preferably without Navas) and stick with it

This IS his fault and I think I am done with him, time for him to go IMO.

I agree....I cant believe in the presser after the game that he was happy with the way we played.....the guy should be starting to panic about his job after the way we've played since Christmas.....

Bang on.

Constant back four changes, are the problem for me. We had that offside down to a tee
at one time, now they look a bit unsure. Not just about that, either.

luckily for us Liverpool are shit as well so we probably get atleast that 4th place and playoff match... but you just know we would get shafted in those qualifier matches.

I got dizzy watching them going to and fro across the 18 yard box and then back again and no end product so predictable and clueless when in this area Toure had a mare and Aguero is losing more and more confidence each time he misses a chance he normally scores with his eyes closed, I would really like to know how they had a forward who frankly at best is an average prem player yet he destroyed Vinnie and demi winning all but one headed challenge all night. whilst our front line costing in excess of £100 MILLION couldn't dominate those who should not be fit to lace their boots The two full backs both impressed but tonight summed our season up perfectly Somebody please tell the players that without goals dominating a match means SFA

We are getting exactly what we deserve. We have a great owner and that's about it. When Mancini was in charge we were organised and became winner's. He was judged on his CL record when every neutral journalist and pundit said we had the group of death twice. Didsbury Dave and other's slagged him of from the outset, but DD doesnt run the club. Where was our reaction when we saw a manager who has and will win more than Pellegrini, being fucked over the envious Khaldoon and two spivs from Barcelona? Nothing. We all seemed happy with the following notion that the players feelings were more important than having a well drilled team that will vary tactics and exploit opponents weaknesses. We still feel we shouldn't say, or do a thing because of our owner, but it isn't our owner is fucking it up. I'm sure that people are going to say get a grip, would throw that back and say we have got a grip of anything. We should have backed Mancini and bought two of his main targets and we would have likely been looking at 3 titles on the trot and a 4th this year. Instead we have a *anker for a DOF when therags have shown that the best way to go is the best manager you can find and back him to the hilt. We were happy pandering to the players sensitive nature's when they should have been told to shut the*uck up.

Well that was a Kick in the..

Should put a dog lead on that ball nowadays...Harts positioning for that free kick was unbelievable he might as well just put a stamp on it for them..
Hand ball against us all day long not given but saying that MP said we should treat every game like a cup final, that we did, just like the ones we were knocked out of this season... Oh well, lets fucking shoot on sight against the rags..

We've got relatively winnable home games to play so top 4 should be OK.
Not as winnable as Burnley and Hull at home though? Oh shit.
But we need to be fighting for third place at worst. I keep reading on this and other forums that many players will only come for CL football, and if we finish fourth that's something we can't guarantee until about a week before the window closes. Obviously we can splash the cash after qualifying, but that means integrating players with the season underway and playing the first few Prem games with a weakened squad. It also means playing the CL qualifiers with a weakened squad.
As for sacking the manager I'm not really sure, but we've spent a hell of a lot of money since that Aguero moment and not really strengthened the team. Basically we've spent it on squad players and rarely addressed the weaknesses in the starting eleven. If Pellers has to go I'd suggest taking a look at Trixie and Pixie and see what they've contributed.
And is there any chance of playing the same defence two games running? Vinnie is running around like a headless chicken because he never knows who is doing what alongside him.
I'll take a narrow win on Sunday.
