Palestine Action

The vandalism resulted in jets being grounded for engine changes as a minimum.. the painted / damaged engines going back to RR for remanufacture (at huge fucking expense to you and me by the way)

Any deliberate damage to military assets should be classed as serious IMHO.. Treason in fact
I love the idea we can keep the Russians out but a few hippies with a pot of paint are unstoppable…

We’re have I said I feel that strongly about the IDF, I feel strongly about dickheads causing £7 million worth of damage to British military aircraft they can fuck right off.

Do you honestly believe a can of spray/paint has really caused £7 Million worth of damage. You'll be telling me next Trump really did get shot in the ear

How much does it cost to replace a jet engine you tell me or would you be prepared to travel in a aeroplane after some fuckin waste of space pricks thrown paint into the engine.

The same charge she faces as someone supporting ISIS.

For some folk using a can of fuckin red spray.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

The UK Parliament, which has determined them as being a terror group (not just for 'protesting', do your research as to what they're also connected to i.e. support of Hamas which is currently an ILLEGAL practice in UK law). If, knowing this information, you continue to voluntarily associate with them, you can't really expect to be treated any differently to how you are by the legal system. At least until Palestine Action are no longer declared a 'terror organisation' by the government and Parliament (which is Sovereign).

TL;DR, If it's legal, go ahead exercise your legal rights. The second it's not legal, as determined by our democratically elected Parliament, you stop associating with it, or face the legal ramifications.

Anyway, just so we're all aware.

A person commits an offence if the person—

(a) expresses an opinion or belief that is supportive of a proscribed organisation, and

(b) in doing so is reckless as to whether a person to whom the expression is directed will be encouraged to support a proscribed organisation.

So I guess that means if you were to say that you believe Palestine Action should not have been proscribed, and a fellow blue says "That encourages me to say the same", you could go down for 14 years for a terrorist offence.

It’s fucking lunacy, supported by fucking lunatics who can’t wait to lock people up. Authoritarian fuckers.

one of those arrested is an 83 year old vicar

I note that a priest, an emeritus professor and a number of health professionals were among those arrested.

As my retired nurse friend said today, having watched the film that the BBC wouldn't show and Channel 4 did, "if I was in Gaza I'd be dead".

Dead in Gaza or a terrorist in the UK. It's all relative.

It’s a huge perimeter… Even with continual patrols all they’d have to do is wait for a patrol to pass and then breach the fence…. The cost of preventing this would be astronomical

How much does a secure fence cost?

Christ on a bike, the defence budget is over £50 billion and we can’t spring for secure perimeters of military assets? Have they never heard of B&Q?

Someone else spreading this fucking nonsense.

Show me the evidence not something Netanyahu says either.
I have no desire to trawl the internet for images of burning babies but rape and potential gang rapes on October 7th are relatively easy to find though Hamas, a fine bunch, deny that their people would do such a thing..

“A U.N. fact-finding team found "reasonable grounds" to believe that some of those who stormed southern Israel on Oct. 7 had committed sexual violence, including rape and gang rape. But the U.N. investigators also said that in the absence of forensic evidence and survivor testimony, it would be impossible to determine the scope of such violence. Hamas has denied its forces committed sexual violence”

When you live under the “protection” that Hamas provide then there is clearly going to be some “shit” to deal with

Playing fuck about and find out was more than enough for jail to be justified not too long ago so forgive me for not giving a fuck now and ignoring your sudden awakening to the “authoritarian fuckers” as you describe them.

This is nonsense, in places the fence around Brize is equivalent to your average garden fence which just about anybody could scale. Major international airports have huge steel fences with cameras etc and then a large armed police force at the airport. It's ridiculous that Brize is less protected than this.

The apron is also a much smaller and predictable space so given the shite fence it should have been identified as a security risk mitigated by RAF regiment or MOD Police patrols/sentrys. They don't need to protect the perimeter, they literally just have to stand by the aircraft but clearly they were nowhere to be seen.

The station commander would have been given a massive bollocking that's for sure.

No doubt they will improve the security going forward but the damage is done… They could add more security to the assets themselves but that limits effectiveness e.g. for quick reaction times and also any escalation in the security state for a unit / base cannot be sustained indefinitely unless physical resources like manpower are ramped up massively

It’s a no win situation ..

On one side you have 83 year old vicars waving a sign and on the other you have people trying to burn people alive in hostels.

Oh, what a tricky moral dilemma facing us.
