Everybody disgusted by today's plane shoot down and rightly so, innocents murdered by warmongers. Yet very little sympathy for the countless innocents those fucking Israelis murder on a daily basis. I'm not a Palestinian sympathiser or anyway near but I know a bully(Israel) when I see one and this bully is a dirty murderous one and is probably the reason the world will never see peace. They can fuck right off as a people, call me anti-semetic I don't give a jot...these fuckers are a boil on the earths arse that won't fuck off. If Israel didn't exist (as it shouldn't) we would never have heard of al-queda or Muslim extremists and we would be living in a utopia by now.

Apologies for this question but I've spent most of today reading the history on Palestine and Israel and the whole issue and I'm still not clear on what either want to achieve, I assume the Palestinians want to have the freedom to live where they want in the whole area and the Israelis want rid of the people in the Gaza Strip? Am I on the right track? Where do the Israelis expect the ppl that live there now to go?

I'm not clear on the exact history between these two but it seems that everything can be boiled down to the land involved. Never ceases to horrify me how fellow humans can do such things to one another. I mean it's not yet at the level of what the Japanese did to the Chinese during WW2 but the reports of women and children getting blown up is sickening. How is the US condoning this invasion, I'm just ... I don't know what to say

In simple terms, I believe the majority of Israelis and Palestinians would settle for a 2 state solution broadly based on the pre-1967 borders with a few adjustments. The main sticking point for most people is the future status of Jerusalem.

However on the Palestinian side there are a number of groups (Hamas being the most prominent) that will not accept the existence of Israel at all and unfortunately they wield a disproportionate amount of power relative to their size. These groups want to destroy Israel and replace the whole area with an Islamic state.

On the Israeli side there is a similar minority (the settler movement and religious zionists) who also have a disproportionate influence on Israeli government policy due to the way coalitions governments are formed in Israel. These groups believe that all the land should be the homeland of the Jews and are happy to continue with the current situation where settlements get bigger and areas under Palestinian control get smaller.

It's a little simplistic but that's effectively what is going on.

I think you may be confusing anger at the actions and policies of the Israeli government, ( which is completely understandable ), with anger at the average Jewish bloke in the street, many of whom are as opposed to Netanyahu as you yourself are.
It's a bit like someone from another country blaming me for the invasion of Iraq, because my government supported it.
Most folk on both sides of this conflict just want to get on with their lives and raise their families in peace, and have little time for extremists, but sadly it's the extremists who call the shots at the moment.
