Pantilimon vs Hart

i like joe, he is a good keeper no doubt

i know it probably wont happen, i would just like to see the extent to which panty's distribution would have on our team.

Give panty a run of 3-4 games see how benificail the increased distribution could be . Could be the difference you never know.

-FAcup semi final v the nick nack paddy wacks.
Who's your keeper?
Fuck the sentiment its Joe for me.

I do fuck the sentiment and it's Pantilimon for me.

So we should forget that Hart is the reason we won the semi final as we should of been 2-0 down inside 5 mins
We should also forget that he kept the game at 0-0 in the final when Jones got through

Can't really get your argument here. No, I will never forget it but that doesn't mean that I would like to see Mike Summerbee get a start ahead of Milner at the Wembley.

Pantilimon had his chance in the FA Cup and he proved that it was the right decision to play him. He deserves it (yes, I guess it's sentimental| just as Hart deserves all the praise for what he did for us and he's still our first name on the team sheet in a league fixture.

In what Universe has he proven it was the right decision? How have you come to this conclusion? We have played god awful teams and think he's saved 2 shots throughout the whole cup run so far and they were all at him. I do like that he rolls the ball out to the defenders rather than boot it up field but that is not nearly enough to replace a keeper who has single handidly kept us in games and won us so many points.

Pants deserves his chance. He's good in the air and commands his Area.

This was important against Stoke.

Not sure about his shot stopping ability as we haven't seen enough of him but from what I can remember he's good at aerial shots but may be a bit suspect low down (Chelsea,Villa).

Whatever, he should play for the whole Cup campaign.

Wouldn't be surprised if he was selected against Chelsea. It wouldn't worry me.

Does Costel deserve a run in the team ahead of Joe at the moment?
No but he deserves to remain our keeper in the FA Cup however far we get.

Where has this absolute fucking myth come from that Pantilimon is some kind of king distributor of the ball?

Often get the feeling Hart is not one of bobbys favourites. he seems to get a kick out of criticizing him. Madness to suggest panti should replace him though. An accident waiting to happen with his punching and flapping. Guess we'll have to live with Joes distribution and left side woes. someone posted earlier in the thread that he looked disinterested against southampton. I think the one thing you couldn't accuse hart of is not caring. He's one of the players who wears his heart on his sleeve.

God knows. Some kind of myth has developed that Hart's distribution isn't great but nothing could be further from the truth. I've seen some keepers clear it further than Hart, but very few distribute it as accurately as he does.

Opposing teams know that City like to pass the ball our of defence so some respond by closing our defence down and make it difficult for Hart to pick a man out

WOW, just simply WOW. I thought this thread was a bit of joke, but I've just read the last page and realised that it is a genuine question.

Pantilimon v Hart?

Oh, and the holy bible of anyone who espouses such shite - 'it's all about opinions'. Any Blue who thinks Pantilimon should start ahead of Hart just needs to.............oh balls to it all, it's really not worth it.

Christ, I'm off to watch Arsenal - I'm sure even some of their fans would be scratching their heads at anyone suggesting we drop Hart!
