I'll decide on Sunday when he comes up against the best defence in the league, and the best defensive centre half pairing in the country.
Let's hope we decide 'Not.'
I actually thought that 1 st goal last night was better than the 2nd one - 1st all superb skill; 2nd was a bit flukey.

WTF !! Had it been a City player scoring a glorious goal like that we`d have been purring over it and claiming it was better than Crouch`s !

well, it was obviously great goal but you can bet it was never intended to finish like that. It's just too great to be intentional, nobody could do that.

Ive not heard Alan Pardew come out with the 'he does that every day in training' etc... for me it had more of the hint of Bob Brightwell 'I just Wellied it'

Why should Pardew have to make a comment like that !! Had it been a City player would you be saying the same thing ?? No I thought not.
Give the lad some credit. If you don`t buy a ticket ...

His goals have all come against lower teams - Arsenal and Spurs both stopped him. Plus he has the luck of God with him; some have been spectacular, but really 'one off' goals.

In Vinnie We Trust.

He's a finisher, and a fucking good one at that. Doesn't do too much else though but he doesn't need to, all his teammates need to do is provide him ball.

If it was Nigel De Jong then yes I would, If it was Roberto Carlos then I'd give the full credit, for me it was more hit and hope than great skill

Im not having a talksport moment here, im just interested to get other peoples opinion of him

I watched his debut in full, and until he scored, honestly thought newcastle had bought a real donkey.

Since then he has scored some incredible goals, but i can't decide if he is world class or not.....

What do you guys reckon?

World class... no. A very smart signing from Pardew and what Newcastle needed.... yes.

I reckon he's odds on to suffer "2nd season syndrome" next year, but we'll see.

I'm concerned about him on Sunday though definitely; VK and JL will need to keep an eye on him.

On that point, does anyone know who's Newcastles scout is. He's done a cracking job taking continental nobodies that fitted straight into Newcastles squad.
