We make lots of chances because we have an extra creative player on the pitch. Unfortunately, that means we are short a striker to put them away.

Yes exactly. One is a consequence of the other. Its great to laud our play, as I do, but scoring goals is also a massive part of the game also. If we include the Community shield that is the fourth match in 10 games we have failed to score and in two others we managed 1. Hopefully it will resolve itself, as it did last year.

That game won’t determine our CL fate, but the next two might!

Brugge been the dark horse in the Group, so 6 points from them in next two games and we are pretty much through. 9 points from 4 games, with Brugge on 4 points, Leipzig probably on 0 and PSG on 10. That would mean we have to beat them at the Etihad by 2 goals (City 12 pts, PSG 10pts) and get a draw at Leipzig to top the group. If we don’t beat them by 2 goals, then we probably have to be perfect from here, unless they trip up somewhere else!

Who knows, this year, 2nd in Group might be better?!

VERY good overall performance, with sole disappointment of zero good fortune in front of goal, while everything they got on target seemed to go in!

Time to get back to England, rest and recover, shake it off and prepare for 3rd Cup Final in a week! 3 pts at the weekend would be even better than 3 pts tonight, although with Messi scoring and Liverpool bagging 5, while we fail to score, it’s easy to know what the narrative will be….

Our most effective player was subbed because he was totally ineffective. Dont care if you're not interested in the no striker shit. It is a problem. Sterling isn't good enough at this level. We were powder puff upfront tonight. Psg beat us at a canter tonight. We didn't lay a glove on them. Our transfer window was a disaster. You won't change my opinion with your superlative knowledge.
