Paris Saint-Germain (A) - CL | Post-Match Thread

You cannot say we were the better team simply because we had more possession.

They defended well and took their chances..they deserved to win, we didn't.
Just that. As somebody else said, they did a job on us!

Played reasonably well but lacked, again, the killer instinct to take our chances. The extra midfielder certainly allows us to dictate the game but a lot of that work is undermined if we dont take our chances. Its not bad luck if it keeps happening. Still, overall some great football. We need to be clinical at Anfield.

We make lots of chances because we have an extra creative player on the pitch. Unfortunately, that means we are short a striker to put them away.

We looked good tonight which is encouraging going forwards for the rest of the group. Played better than we did when we beat them first leg last year. They looked really good that game and had us on the ropes at times. Tonight was a bit like a prem game vs the likes of Leicester looking to hit us on the break
You're the better 1nvisibleman on here.

Another day the and the deflection for the first goal doesn’t fall to there player, good finish though. Another day Bernie scores. Fine margins… ref gave us nothing. Thought Grealish deserved to stay on and Sterling should have been taken off sooner, he slows the play down and runs into blind alleys. Mahrez too predictable at this level. We were the better team on the night but that’s football
Agree. Width of the crossbar. Their shape and the discipline of the 8 behind the ball was impressive and they - and we - know they can counter attack. But we made them play that way because of our quality, though it looked like they relaxed a bit when Grealish went off and we lost a bit of balance. Not sure who I would have taken off, not so much that any of our front 5 were off the pace, more that they closed the space so effectively. Kev needs matches as it’s the only way he seems to get fit. Just glad the match is out of the way, just felt like a weird distraction with Sunday coming up. There’s no way Alexander-Arnold can defend like the PSG right back.

Might be unpopular here, but are we at that situation again where we look worse when Kev starts for us. Remember last season when he was injured and Gundo and Phil played together as our a tracking midfield, we were playing some excellent stuff. Kev returned and we didn't look as good, not sure he should be starting every game now

KDB played on Sat and we were brilliant.

Having more possession doesn't make you the better team.

They had chances and took them. We fucked up ours.

They were therefore better.
So in no game ever did a team lose and not be the better side…. What a bizarre way to analyze a game.

PSG transfer window , Ramos not played injured , Messi done f*ck all unti his ten seconds of fame tonight , Wynaldham, on the bench can't get a game, Dunnarama flapped at everything tonight and lucky the ball didnt drop our way
We sign Grealish probably our most effective player this season , and not interested with the no striker shit , we have six or seven players who will score double figures and win us the league again.
You don't f*cking get it.
Our most effective player was subbed because he was totally ineffective. Dont care if you're not interested in the no striker shit. It is a problem. Sterling isn't good enough at this level. We were powder puff upfront tonight. Psg beat us at a canter tonight. We didn't lay a glove on them. Our transfer window was a disaster. You won't change my opinion with your superlative knowledge. Cheers
